Also, i noticed that in the digests.php page, its listing that i have 7 forums to subscribe to, but i only have 6 defined... its listing one of them twice...!? On one of my theme (BlackSoul), i am unable to see ANY text in the digests.php page (black text on black bg is my guess!?). Other than that...

Re: Emailer working... err, sort of.

I have set up my email to be sent in html format. The cron goes off, the email is sent, but when I receive it, the email has been translated from html to text that will show as html. For example, the < and > have been converted into %lt and %gt in the email itself. When I open this email up in Yaho...

Mark, Thanks for your reply. I was not asking where is the latest digest file is. I was wondering if you are using the LATEST digest script with your phpbb board at: potomactavern.org Yes, I am, or WAS using the latest script. I've made some minor mods as referenced in the message right above this ...

In a project I am working on I have been able to send html formatted mails with images that are displated correctly on hotmail. I just ensured that the html is 100% absolutely correct. The same email looks awfull when received with Lotus Notes clients. I've been doing some searching and found an in...

One thing that could cause a problem is when this mod is well known and any user just tries to execute the mail_digest.php which would result in multiple mails to the same users. So perhaps an auth check if the script is run via the browser? I don't know if it is possible to determine if it is run ...

Did you have the most recent digest script on your board? Yes, you can download it at: http://www.potomactavern.org/tavern/digests.zip. I use Eudora too but I also toggled Eudora to use the Microsoft Mail Viewer (it's under options somewhere), since that's what most people are using, since they use...

Thanks for the suggestion about Yahoo! Mail. I tried it and it is not blocked as spam. However, Yahoo doesn't interpret the HTML and shows it as text. This suggests those with such accounts should request text digests instead. Web based mail systems tend to parse mail and substitute their own code, ...

Sort of. I also need the stylesheet name. The convention for it seems to be the same name as the theme, with a .css suffix. I will check out functions.php; I may have missed setup_style. Thanks.

I'm glad you are excited. I spent a couple hours looking through the phpBB source code to find a way to grab the default stylesheet. I couldn't figure it out. If anyone has a clever way of doing it, let me know. As best I can tell the default stylesheet is not used, rather it is copied and pasted in...

I know that but if they want all forums except just one they have to select each one individually and remember to edit if new forums are created. It would be better if certain forums just simply was not in the list. Okay, sorry for the confusion. It's a good suggestion. I looked at the code and it'...

For me the $siteURL had a "/" appended to the end of it, so I had to remove some code to mail_digest.php and digest_constants.php to take this into account. Let me know if you have a different experience.

Suggestion for a small change. Add the ability to specify one or more forums that should be exluded no matter if the user has access to the forum. For example newsfeed or test forums would be good candidates to be left out. Users can pick the forums they want and consequently exclude the ones for w...

Re: 2 Small Fixes

3. Lastly, I think instruction number 4 in digests.txt has an incorrect path. "lang/lang_english directory" should be "lang/lang_english directory/email directory"...perhaps that's new with phpBB 2.0.6. Thanks. You are right, this is incorrect. I made the other changes you suggested. I just need to...
