Like robert said, if the server is yours you can have whatever you want installed on it.

If it isn't then i suggest you look for another host!

I would use your ISP smtp settings;

they usually keep the protocals default etc.

Well its a database issue; I would go to the hosting provider and ask for clarification on the database name; username and password

If you are trying to send via the built in mail server you need requirements


If not check the smtp.myisp.com addess and also the username and password
