Re: I cant rewrite profile Urls using mod_rewrite

The only thing I have into the .htaccess file is that code, nothing more. So, i havent got any others mods or anything that could be causing that error. Note: I am trying this in my experimental PHPBB forum (wich I have located in localhost), before put it into a real installation ;) Do you have mo...

Re: SQL Error in Moving Forum Catergories

Have you updated recently? Made any changes by installing some MODs?

It would be helpful if you could fill out the Support Request Template so we can get a little more information about your board and help you further.

Re: can't see what/who the guests are

Looks like a problem with a gallery MOD that you have installed on your site. If you know which MOD it is then you could try seeing if someone can help you sort out the problem in the MOD's support topic over in the Customisation DB . This is just a general support forum for phpBB 3.0 so you probabl...

Re: Including Sender Emails in Profile Email

You need to add the variable into memberlist.php, something like this: FIND (approx. line 900): $messenger->anti_abuse_headers($config, $user); $messenger->assign_vars(array( 'BOARD_CONTACT' => $config['board_contact'], 'TO_USERNAME' => htmlspecialchars_decode($row['to_name']), 'FROM_USERNAME' => ht...

Re: VideoPlayer BBcode

You need to either upload the videos to YouTube/another video sharing website and link to them via that way or use something like FLV Player installed on your website (there are others available, Google will turn up some more).

Re: I cant rewrite profile Urls using mod_rewrite

Can you post your entire .htaccess file to take a look at to check if there is a syntax error in it somewhere.

Re: VideoPlayer BBcode

You need to check how your browser handles the .avi extension. For example with Firefox you would check via the Options -> Applications menu. Whichever way you do it, it involves installing some sort of plugin in your browser so that it can handle the playback of the .avi file. My browser have noth...

Re: I cant rewrite profile Urls using mod_rewrite

It's impossible to do this with mod_rewrite as Apache can't find out what user id is applicable for each username. You need to pass the username in the URL to be able to rewrite it, which phpBB can do (see http://www.phpbb.com/community/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&un=MarkTheDaemon , basicall...

Re: How does session length work?

I noticed that my server load reached 1.3 today for a minute for the first time on my VPS and I figured I should try to limit the load on my server (I had session length set to 86400 seconds). I wouldn't worry too much about the load issue, especially if it's just peaking at 1.3. It's safe to assum...

Re: IIS 7.5 Redirection Rule

Don't have any experience of IIS but a quick Google came up with this . You'd need to change the example so it suits you though, something like: <rewrite> <rules> <rule name="phpBB Rewrite"> <match url="^viewforum.php?f=90" /> <action type="Rewrite" url="http://hom...

Re: [BETA] ACP Rank Upload

Nobody has shouted that it doesn't work so I'm packaging it up and sending to the MODDB.

Now do the same for all folders in the ./images/* folder :D
Nice idea, although a better one would be a full editor/folder system all packaged up in an ACP module.

Don't trust admins enough to only upload the correct files? ;) I agree that the check should be implemented, will probably sort it out in a later release. As the upload isn't public I wouldn't class it as a massive security issue.
