I completed the imagemagick installation which then enabled thumbnails for the inline image dislay. This is an amazing feature and it works perfectly.

I installed it today and it runs beautifully. The installation module is flawless. I still need to install imagemagick, but the attachment feature worked perfectly.

This is a remarkable program with so many customizable features. I see other applications for it than merely for bulletin boards.

I went to your site and was unable to post as a guest anywhere. My guess is that when you did your check of your forums in the admin panel that you succeeded in making sure that all the post privileges were for "registered." But, if you see another guest post, go check that forum for its setting for...

I did the following so that only Admins can see the memberhip list: Open the membership.php in a text editor. Normally at the beginning of the file it looks like this: // // Start session management // $userdata = session_pagestart($user_ip, PAGE_VIEWMEMBERS); init_userprefs($userdata); // // End se...

Selecting User will allow anyone (spammers included) to register and post on your site with merely a workable email address. This is the way the spambots work... they access your register mechanism and create multiple user id's using multiple working email addresses. So, the best protection is to se...

This can be a whole lot simpler, if you need it to be. 1. Right click on the phpbb logo and get the size of that gif file by selecting "properties." 2. Use your graphics program (can be done in windows paint) to create your new logo to those same dimensions (height and width in pixels). 3. Name your...

Another very nice solution (which is just an expansion of the method described by Lumpy) is to insert an iframe into the overall_header.tpl (and also the same into your overall_footer.tpl). In the iframe you can "call" any specialized html file that you wish to display. Be sure to put that iframe in...

That was a workable answer from Jim_UK, but it may not have addressed everything that Navy33 was looking for in his first post. Jim's solution will provide you a link (hidden) to any url (like your home page) when the user clicks the site logo. Now, neocipriano (not Navy33) did ask about the logo li...

You can accomplish everything you are looking for without using frames (that's going about it backwards). Instead, you will simply be making your opening page to your site the forum itself and modifying the header and footer template files for your forum to your heart's content. This is done by edit...

I would like to remove those stats as well, specifically, this is what I don't wish to show on the opening page: We have 5 registered users The newest registered user is Sam I don't mind providing a link to the board... I am just starting it up... http://samredman.com/discuss I have had a lot experi...

Changes made in overall_header.tpl not showing

Hi - the suggestions were great, I put in an ad, however I can't seem to make any further changes. I edited the overall_header.tpl and got a small ad to show at the top. You can see it here http://scrux.com/discuss After adding that ad, which shows flush right, a few days later, I edited my overall_...
