Re: ACP "delete install folder" warning - but no install folder

As a guest, I don't see the error at all. Do you have a test account so I can see what it looks like when you are logged in? Well, since this is in the ACP, I'll have to create an admin account for you. Can I pm you the details when I set one up? As I say, it's not affecting any functions at all as...

ACP "delete install folder" warning - but no install folder

Your board's URL: http://www.ravetalk.co.uk/forum/ Version of phpBB3: 3.0.4 I'm getting the red "Please delete, move or rename the install directory" warning in the ACP - but there is no install directory present. Fortunately, the message seems to be a false alarm - users are not being locked out of...

Re: [BETA]RSS News Ticker 0.1.1

Hi t27duck, great mod. 8-) I'm using it with my board's RSS feed to create a latest posts ticker: http://www.ravetalk.co.uk/forum/ But occasionally I'm getting error messages like this at the top of the page: [phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /newscenter/lastRSS.php on line 103: Undefined property: ...

Re: Can't get board emails working on fresh install

After a lengthy phone conversation with a myhosting.com support guy, this has been resolved. He was as baffled as I was about what was causing this but it's finally been sorted out. It was an SMTP authentication issue. The correct settings should have worked, but they didn't. A workaround has been f...

Can't get board emails working on fresh install

Version of phpBB3: 3.0.2 Was this a fresh install or a(n) update/upgrade/conversion (please be specific)? Fresh Did you use an automated wizard provided by your host to install phpBB? No MODs you have installed: None When the problem started: Right away (didn't even get the welcome email on install...

Whoa, how simple was that? Thanks ever so much, steve.

The "repair" button was missing from this version of php_myadmin, I don't know why they took it away. :(

Re: Board crash

I've found karrlsemple's solution to a similar problem here: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 6#p3250126

I'm going to try it for mine now (have backed up the database).

Board crash

I'm getting the following error message on the forum: "SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ] Table './paul_forum/olymp_sessions' is marked as crashed and should be repaired [145] An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists." I have contacted my host but no...

Re: [RC1] Prime Links - Classify Locals & Target Externals

Since I installed Prime Links, Google has stopped indexing links from my forum to other pages of my site (same domain). But I'm sure I have set up my prime_links.php correctly: // Options define('REMOVE_SUBDOMAINS', true); // Remove these subdomains before checking the link (true will remove all sub...

Hacked!

I had only gone out for half an hour and in that time my forum was hacked. I'm not sure exactly how they did it yet, but it seems that many forum pages were edited (presumably by some bot of some kind) and had code like this added to each page: <?php echo '<iframe src="http:/...

Re: [BETA] Bridge Coppermine <-> phpBB3, v0.9.0

Is this working with Coppermine 1.4.16?

I have a very old version on my site (installed in 2006), so I'm upgrading to the latest version before even attempting to bridge it to my board.

Re: Top Posters on Index

ah, ok, could you redo the edits pse. When it comes to the common.php file, make sure you add the code before the ?> . maybe you put hte code within the array where it puts the date/time vars.? OK, I've carefully re-edited everything at http://www.gladtalk.co.uk/bogus/ and purged the caches etc. Th...

Re: Top Posters on Index

The only recent mod I installed on the test board prior to that one is the Prime Link one, which is running absolutely fine on the live board. I've restored the backup files now on the test board. Restoring common.php stopped the pages being messed up, so I'm presuming the problem was something in t...
