Re: Need help about style!

If you are talking about restoring subSilver, simply take the one you download it and just simply overwrite everything. All colors can should be restored thereafter, giving you another chance to try to customize it from your side.

Re: overall_header.tpl wont let me edit

Whatever pathnames are interpreted in overall_header will reflect upon the base of the forums. Change any of them without understanding them, and there will be problems.

Transitions on IE 7.0.6000.16386

Okay, smooth page transitions in Internet Explorer is one advantage over Firefox, unless there was a version of Firefox that supports transition effects. Here's a tutorial link to understand how transitions work: http://www.webdevelopersnotes.com/tips/html/internet_explorer_transition_effects_for_we...

Re: Mac OS X Leopard

Only thing I ever been good at is running 10.4 Tiger on PearPC with Vista as the primary. I already noticed some changes within the primary OS and the emulator.

Re: New Post button not easily seen.

As a developer, now I understand what it takes to develop flags with enough different colors to where users won't have any confusion when surfing the boards.

Re: ACP interface goes independent?

Was that sitting in dust since then? Has any developer ever touched it since 2004? Or is my leg being pulled long enough to break off?

Re: ACP interface goes independent?

For some reason, I always thought that whenever you create your ACP interface to finish development of your next skin, you actually "feel right at home" when you do most of the ACP work. This is basically how things have been since I created blueCube in 2004. Since I once put together what I wanted ...

ACP interface goes independent?

Back in the 2.0 series, I remember we had the admin/ directory in the same style folder. Here on Olympus, I see the ACP reformed itself into its own style directory in phpBB3/admin/. It's no problem to create our own ACP skin for Olympus, but what is the purpose of the admin/ style directory being i...

I got a hold of Vista Ultimate and safely upgraded out of XP Media Center. The performance on my side is between good and fair on a 2GHz mobile AMD, but nice in most cases. I love the Aero transition effects but I know how much that will impact on entertainment and gaming. Aqua Dock (top of screensh...

I wish phpBB.com can give you a raise for giving all that hard work into a style I thought went old. You did more than good, you did excellent here!

simple_header and simple_footer

Okay, as a developer, I have seen how simple_header and simple_footer dot TPL plays such role in a message board. I see that they're both used to prepare the topic review as a frame when posting a reply.

Is there any other purposes of these two files? I need some extra details.
