I went into profile_add_body.tpl and just deleted those fields.

Aha! - that is right. The only thing is I made one problem with that. You see, I removed this option from the registration form (and thus the profile settings) in order to make registration simpler for people who are easily confused by such settings. I thought that by default it would always attach ...

Hello, I have version 2.0.15. It seems it is best to update to prevent any possible hack attempt, but I have been reading some posts from people who are having problems with the updated version. Modify Registration Form

This is probably a basic question but I couldn't find the answer after searching the other parts of the website:

How can I modify the registration form to remove some optional fields, and to change a few currently optional fields to required fields?

When a new user tries to register for my forum, they get the following message when they click Submit:
