Re: Passwords not working

Did you take a look at includes/auth/auth_*.php? I'm pretty sure that's what you're looking for, but again: without seeing your code it's hard to tell what is wrong.

Re: Negative conditional statements? "comments"

<!-- IF != this.this --> This doesn't make any sense. != is a comparison operator. But you are not comparing anything. It would have to be <!-- IF var1 != var2 --> or alternatively <!-- IF var1 neq var2 --> . The other thing <!-- IF not var --> looks good, and could also be written as <!-- IF ! var...

Authentication happens in includes/auth/auth_db.php, but you can also write your own authentication plugin: http://wiki.phpbb.com/display/DEV/Authe ... on+plugins

Re: Save shouldn't have an interstital

The drafts system is very lightweight, it only stores subject and message body. Adding attachments support would be nice but is not exactly trivial. Only asking the user in case options were changed would be possible, and I'd suggest creating a ticket for that. Or even submitting a patch, if you can...

Re: How start to develop for phpBB3

I'd suggest taking a look at existing MODs. I'm sure you can easily find one with a single ACP module.

Re: set a request variable, how

Let me state the conditions more clearly. If you expect $input to be an integer and want to use it in a query later on, you need to cast $default to an integer.
