question on styles

while checking demos some say "phpBB version: 3.0.0" or 3.0.1 instead of 3.0.2, what does it mean really though? it won't work on php 3.0.2? or give errors or whatever, or doesn't it matter?

Re: Converting a forum (phpBB 2 > phpBB 3)

now that's understandable :p i don't touch the SQL database right? just to be sure if my database was php2DB1 named, for the php3 update i choose php2DB1 again, and it'll do its magic edit: friend is trying something using another database for conversion or something and said: after installing phpbb...

Re: Converting a forum (phpBB 2 > phpBB 3)

Once you are pleased with your new installation you may want to give it the name of your old installation, changing the directory name. With phpBB3 this is possible without any problems - but you may still want to check your cookie settings within the administration panel, if the cookie path need to...

Re: Converting a forum (phpBB 2 > phpBB 3)

that actually made little to no sense for me :p i've been told already php 2 mods & styles won't convert to php 3, but what will happen to them exactly? and the whole phpbb 2 file stuff like say: my phpbb2 stuff is uploaded with filezilla in http://www.digital-alliance-forums.net now, do i make a ph...

auto-resizing forum width

My question is "simple and easy" really, i'm trying out php 3.0.2 for the first time, and several styles i wanna use have a fixed size, while i'd like them all to be auto-sized to 90% or 95% of the browser width, for every page aka, auto-resizing like: www.digital-alliance-forums.net the style i'm t...

php 2 to php 3

hey all ^^ hope i put this in the right section :p

I'm currently using php 2 (with alot of mods on and so on) but i've been thinking of going to php 3. If i'd go to php 3, can i install the php 2 mods on it, and can i backup my php 2 forum database (all members + posts) over to the php 3 forum?

Moderators, Administrators: *****

All fine there, but i want p...
