Re: how long is phpbb2 continuing for?

phpBB2 will have security updates when they are needed. It will also be supported here for quite some time to come yet as there are many many 2x forums in existence. For the record, the last update to phpBB2 was December 06, so it's pretty secure in its current form. not to correct you... but if th...

Re: Header erros, php integration help!

The one thing I did was experiment around with the logout link i created, but then i changed it back to normal form backup files I have, then these errors started coming up. I haven't touched any files in the forum directory for a while. i would suggest what i did in my last post... experiment with...

Re: Header erros, php integration help!

There is no extra header.php, but I can assure you the require code is not the problem, as my header shows up, it only has errors above it. ok.. take a look at the file the errors are saying is the problem then..... looks to me from your original post that this would be line 366 & 367 of sessions.php

Re: Simplified Forum - fewer levels

by default there are only three levels in phpbb2... categories, forums, and topics.

A forum goes in a category
and
A topic goes in a forum

that is really only two levels... not that i think about it.

Re: Header erros, php integration help!

consider changing:

Code: Select all

    <?php
    require "header.php"
    ?>require "header.php"
to

Code: Select all

    <?php
    require "header.php";
    ?>
note the added ; and the removed require "header.php" after the closed php tag ?>

Re: My GOD! Installing Mods so Tedius!!

It's worth trying MODs even if they don't specifically say they're EM compatible. Many seem to work just fine. this is sooooo true... i have found so many mods that dont say EM compatible even though they are. Usually, the only thing that makes a MOD incompatible with EM is if there is an inline fi...
