Deleting other user's posts

Hi, I believe in phpBB 2 if I was the admin the "Delete" button was on every post and I could delete anything if I wanted to. I don't see this on phpBB3 no matter what kinds of permissions I set up. The reason I do this is because I have 15 test users setup and when I am logged in as the admin I lik...

TextArea vertical scroll bar returning to top (posting)

Hi All, I have a weird issue.. When I am typing text in the textarea (for posting a new topic) and I have a really long post, when I fly my mouse up over the BBCODE buttons (or sometimes the smilies) it resets my scroll bar to the top yet my caret is still down at the end (where I was typing). To tr...

Re: jQuery Textarea Resizer

This is a great mod. However, I noticed that when I made the text area resizable (with this mod) it changed the font that is in these boxes (which I like). Is there any way to put the font back the way it was while keeping the ability to resize ?

Re: New Registration Approval Email?

Hi All,

I was wondering if it's possible to send HTML emails as the registration approval email? As with the original poster, we approve all new registrations. Once we activate them, we want to send them a nice HTML email "welcome" letter (with some URLs, etc).

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for replying.. Just as the notification that you responded came in I was in viewtopic.php.. I recalled that if the user had already voted then it just displays the results, otherwise it allows them to vote.. so I was just reviewing that logic that sets the $user_voted flag.. :D

Thanks again!

Determing if a user has partcipated in a poll

Hi, I am a reasonable PHP programmer and know mySql pretty well. I am in the process of learning the layout/tables of PHPBB. I would like to know how I could determine if a user has participated in a poll. I have a welcome screen, and want to write a specific note ("Please participate in our poll") ...

Just installed the latest (RC Version 2.0.2).

After I post all works, but I get an IE error (Done, but with errors on page). When I view the details it says ";" expected. Has anyone seen this.

Automating DB Backup

Hi, I love the "backup" feature in the admin configuration. Has anyone automated this feature (with CRON as an example) so each night the DB is backed up and written to a unique file (with say the date). I want to always have a recent backup (previous day) however don't want to manually do it each n...

Hi, I am also getting this problem. I try to login, then get a page not found. When I close my browser and go back to my forums, it says that I am logged in -- but when I click on anything I do still get a page not found. I think it must have something do with mySQL (IMHO) as I cleared all my cookie...

MySQL PHP Editors

Hi, I would like to add some data to some of the MySQL tables, however, the mySQL tables are on my web site hosted by an web hosting company. Is there some free software out there with some PHP web pages I can upload (similar to the way I uploaded phpbb) and modify/edit my mySQL table? In other word...
