Re: Problem with posting_body.html width

Again without actually seeing your site it's hard to know what you did. I assume you set a fixed width for the site somewhere seeing you are setting absolute values for your tables to line up the way you want them. You can set padding on #wrapcentre to space off elements inside of it. But like I sa...

Re: Problem with posting_body.html width

Why can't you just leave your table to width of 100% and it will fill the area automatically? It's hard to say without actually seeing your site. SubSilver2 fills the screen area properly, what modifications have you done? Leaving the setting at 100% will force the table on both pages to touch the ...

Problem with posting_body.html width

Style: SubSilver2 File: posting_body.html Line: #106 <table class="tablebg" width="100%" cellspacing="1"> Hi, I'm hoping to get some help as the width setting in posting_body.html seems to be linked to two different pages. :| For Compose message at "/forums/ucp.php?i=pm&mode=compose" I need the widt...

Re: Full Site Integration

Hi,

Anyone know how to retain the same page once using the login script on the website?
By default, once you enter the login information on the website, it takes your to: "/phpbb3/ucp.php?mode=login". Is there a way to login, but stay at the same page on the website?

Re: Having problem with php include conflict

if you mean you want it to display case 1 if there is no id specified then $id = (isset($_GET['id'])) ? intval($_GET['id']) : 0; switch ($id) { case 2: include('another.php'); break; default: include('contact.php'); break; } will do it. This will also show case 1 if the user inputs an invalid id Gr...

Re: Having problem with php include conflict

It works, just want to say thanks again for the help.

T0ny, one more question. Would there be anyway to have the script load say "case 1" by default? Meaning have it internally display "case 1" when first accessed, but be able to retain the same page on refresh and not reset to "case 1"?

Re: Having problem with php include conflict

How about something like: $id = (isset($_GET['id'])) ? intval($_GET['id']) : 0; switch ($id) { case 1: include('contact.php'); break; case 2: include('another.php'); break; default: die('Invalid ID'); break; } Then you specify the files number in the url e.g. index.php?id=2 would include another.ph...

Re: Having problem with php include conflict

Lets say you're hosting your website on a WHM/cPanel shared hosting setup, and you've created a password protected directory called 'admin' at the root of your site. I would only have to type in index.php?id=./../.htpasswds/public_html/admin/passwd and that would show me the file containing the use...

Re: Having problem with php include conflict

In that case, how would that make "<?php include $_GET['id']; ?>" and less secure then "<?php include ("$id"); ?>"? It wouldn't. We're commenting on the fact you are passing the file to include as a GET variable and using it directly, without any form of validation. The method of reading the get va...

Re: Having problem with php include conflict

The problem is that if someone would browse to index.php?id=myverysecretphpfile.php, it would also be included. You most probably do not want that. Don't assume anything about the input you are receiving from outside, always check input values for validity. In that case, how would that make "<?php ...

Re: Having problem with php include conflict

That means you'll have to use $id = $_GET["id"]; somewhere as well. Note, however, that this method is very insecure and dangerous and is a very, very bad practice. Yeah, someone else also suggested changing: <?php include ("$id"); ?> to <?php include $_GET['id']; ?> But, like you seem to be saying...

Re: Having problem with php include conflict

T0ny wrote:
<?php include ("$id"); ?>
Where is the variable $id defined?
I manually define the variable in the different links around the website.

For example: index.php?id=contact.php

Having problem with php include conflict

Hi, I'm having a problem with the below php include conflict. If I try to use Code #1, Code #2 will no longer work and then returns the below error. Code #1 is used to integrate a phpBB3 login script into my website. Code #2 is used for navigation on my website. So I need both, but when trying to us...

auto-updater question

Does the auto-updater replace the whole old file, with the new file, or does it open each file and make the code changes on its own?
