Re: 3.0.6 New Features

I'm using subsilver2, don't have prosilver installed. I checked last modify date of template files v.i ftp and they were not not changed today during update. Should they have been updated when going from 3.0.5 to 3.0.6? Downloaded a zip of the files from the auto update during the update process, an...

Re: 3.0.6 New Features

Double check what you've set. I've updated 2 boards so far and only needed to click the green cog on the forum management and turn it on there for it to show up. Of course, if you have a 3rd party style you'll need to apply style changes too. You can check if prosilver is working though. Yeah, in t...

Re: Updated to 3.0.6 - One issue however with if statement

The script is simple really and have been using since 3.0.1. It auto defines itself when a user is logged in or not. Like I said both website and forums share script, still works on website but not on forums after updating to 3.0.6. The script on the website uses the script as well, but should not b...

Re: New topics need approval

Nrby, you set it to "never", correct?

Updated to 3.0.6 and just let it replace the two modded posting files from this mod.
So after updating just remade the two edits for both files.

Updated to 3.0.6 - One issue however with if statement

if($user->data['is_registered']) { echo Hi, I use the above if statement to display a page when a user is logged in and a different one when logged out. After updating to 3.0.6, the correct page no longer displays when logged in and viewing the forum (it shows the logged out page). However, this sa...

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.0.6 Release Candidate 4 released

Ah, I see. So say you install three or even six different CAPTCHAs, are you able to force them to be random cycles on the registration page? I.E each time someone tries to register, it will be a different CAPTCHA. Wouldn't that make it harder to register v.i bot? Since it would be quite hard to kno...

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.0.6 Release Candidate 4 released

So how much better will 3.0.6 be at stopping automatic registration bots then 3.0.5 was? Well, phpBB 3.0.6 will have a completely new plug-in based CAPTCHA system. That basically means that by default nothing has changed, as by default you will still have the same CAPTCHA to show up. You are now ab...

Re: Correct Export Settings when Transferring Board Database?

Follow the instructions as you read them and, in my opinion, save the file uncompressed. Well, like I said, the guide only covers two settings while many are checked by default. And I do normally save uncompressed, guide suggest Gzip. Yes, use the settings in the Guide. So just to be clear. Only us...

Correct Export Settings when Transferring Board Database?

I'm moving my board to a different sql server, but the files them-self are staying on the same server only remaining folder. So the be clear: SQL: Old: bb.domain.com New: forums.domain.com Files: Old: domain.com/bb/ New: domain.com/forums/ Now using the this guide (for reference really) as I am pret...

Re: New topics need approval

Is the UMIL folder part of the mod or only an install option?
I would like to delete it if it not a working part of the mod, which it doesn't seem to be based on install process.

Thanks

Re: New topics need approval

What does the UMIL folder do though and why is needed? I mean even when using the mod isn't post validation still handled by the default phpbb3 system/templates? Wouldn't you just click on the "This post is waiting for approvall" link like normal, be sent to ".../mcp.php?i=queue&mode=approve_details...
