It doesn't even have to have a friendly interface, really.
Hard coded would be fine.

I wouldn't mind having to put a code in like..

{ else if
thread = "name of thread"
post count = doesn't increase }

Rofl. I know that wouldn't work, but I don't know PHP. :oops:

Request: Stop Post Increasing in certain threads

I searched, but everytime I do, I get that stupid Internal 500 error. And you can only be so damned specific. I'm looking for a way to stop posts from increasing while posting in a specific thread. I have a games thread that has over 6,000 replies. My users love the game, but I hate the post whoring...

This is what I had to resort to, going through the SQL DB to give the avatars needed. It can also link offsite avatars (by URL, then uploading to server from the URL) just fine. My url, forum-central.com, is down for a few days. The alternate (though less pretty, with broken images as I've not prepa...

Avatar uploading errors?

I've searched for this, couldn't find the answer.. so here it goes. Recently my forum has stopped allowing people to upload their avatars from their own computer. Off-site uploading is fine, but uploading it from your own computer it will give you the error saying the file size is too big (bigger th...

They don't take that much time? There's like.. 5 pages of stuff to do for each patch, and I've missed 4 patches in a row. That's a lot of switching and replacing.

What exactly, besides security, makes 2.0.6 better than 2.0.2?
Anything obvious, or just 'behind the scenes' security?

Well screw it then. I guess my forum is just going to stay out of date until PHPBB 2.2 comes out.

(request) 2.0.2 to 2.0.6 Changes

For the longest time, I thought my forum was up to date. I didn't follow instructions well because I didn't quite understand them.. So whenever a patch would be released from PHPBB, I just thought you uploaded the .patch file or whatever it was called that you needed to use, and then run the install...

That's because for every 1 modder, there's about 250 people who want something and can't make it themselves.
