Re: Please Help with User groups.. Joining/viewing.

its cause of "ug.user_id <>" in the where clause hasn't got a value to compare against. the value should be the group member's user_id obtained from the query above it $sql = "SELECT username, user_id, user_viewemail, user_posts, user_regdate, user_from, user_website, user_email, user_icq, user_aim,...

Re: Installing PHPbb forums with Freeones

what's freeones your host?
well whatever the host you need to have a sql database and ftp access in order to setup your board. if you have these then you can read the installation guide: here ;)

Re: blank register page

its either in teh php files:
profile.php
includes/usercp_register.php

or tpl files in template folder:
profile_add_body.tpl

there's probably an error or mistake somewhere in those files ;)

Re: crying, need help to put an array value to the tpl fiel! ple

are you sure you've actually setup the loop correctly TPL side? you have to set it up

Code: Select all

<!-- BEGIN loop_name -->
loop stuff and values
<!-- END loop_name -->
outside the begin and end of the loop the loop value's can't be used ;)

Re: Check if user is logged in

Checking if the user is logged in is simple, PHP Side: if ( $userdata['session_logged_in'] ) { // User logged in } else { // User logged out } however if your not doing it in a phpbb file then you also need to include PHP and setup $userdata: define('IN_PHPBB', true); $phpbb_root_path = './'; includ...

Re: [RC] XData CPF [Custom Profile Fields (MMW)]

Re: Will this still work?

those lines don't check if the user is an AOL user or not anyway. purely checks for sid, i beleive it was a security fix in .22 but i can't remember. its more a problem with AOL then the actual software :P

Re: changing profile link

if your site has mod_rewrite enabled you could just maek a .htaccess file to "point" to it. a bit of googleing will get you some info on how to do it, its probably easier then actually coding in the change ;)

Re: Customising the profile page

you could use a CPF mod such as xdata [link] to add new fields to the profile. once its installed you can use the API to do everything rather then doing all the database and tpl stuff ;)

Re: Forum post help.

simply setup a word censor to replace the old site with teh new one then do the following changes in order to make the URL bbcode affected by it: OPEN: viewtopic.php FIND: $message = $postrow[$i]['post_text']; AFTER, ADD: // Censor URLs if ( count($orig_word) ) { $message = preg_replace($orig_word, ...

Re: [RC] XData CPF [Custom Profile Fields (MMW)]

i actually find the CPF in bb3 a lot easier if not better to use then xData :P although there are very few things that xData has that aren't already in bb3. i'm not intending to really make a mod similar to this for bb3 because there wouldn't be many changes tbh. there will be upgrade paths from xda...
