You did not change your domain name, script path, etc. in the admin panel, so they still contain your old details. You can use the admin toolkit to change these settings

Yes, I think you are correct, though the change should also be applied to the other parts of the switch. but it doesn't really matter, since the unlink() error message will be supressed, and the undefined variable one will not display as phpBB doesn't use E_ALL for its error_reporting().

You can't do this with a default installation of phpBB - you need to install a MOD to do it: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=265040

There's a MOD you can use to do this (that sounds a bit strange seeing as you're trying to remove the MODs, but it's true...): http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=293867

It looks very much like you have not completed the MOD's installation instructions (running the SQL query which creates the buddies table). However, this is not a question for phpBB support; please ask in the MOD's release topic instead. Thanks

Use the $userdata['user_level'] variable together with the ADMIN constant:

Code: Select all

if ($userdata['user_level'] == ADMIN)
{
    // admin only stuff here
}

is your problem that registered users don't automatically get added to a usergroup? If so, then that's the default behaviour of phpBB (though I believe an "automatic usergroup add on registration" MOD exists). But why do you want this usergroup? the forum permissions don't need you to crea...

No, I expect that is possible. However, I'd suggest that you ask in the fetch all MOD's release topic/support site instead of phpBB support, which isn't really for MOD support :)

OK...certainly it would be worth investigating the server. If you come to the conclusion that it's a phpBB problem then just come back here, though I agree that it probably isn't :)

Hi,

Have a look at this topic. You need to run the PHP code in that topic, and then your forum should be fixed

Are you sure that it only happens for some users? (Since it's an intermittent problem, it might be hard to tell who it affects) Do you have any MODs installed? Does the page always cut out in the same place? Ask your users to view the source of the page when it doesn't load and post what they see he...

This is possible only if you install a MOD for it. It appears that this has been discussed before here, though it doesn't seem to be very active. Try posting there and see if people are still interested in it
