Re: How to search for a user in the inactive users list?

Why would you do that? Doing that means when the user eventually does come back, they won't be able to login and won't know why. That is not how that function is intended to be used. That's what I do, too... using the prune option, I deactivate the users. I don't delete them I just deactivate them....

Re: How to search for a user in the inactive users list?

A better solution would be for phpBB to implement an optional toggle in the find a member screen to search inactive users in addition to members instead of ignoring that flag. :) I agree with this, but since it is pretty handy not to show inactive users in the memberlist for regular users, I think ...

Re: Add Homepage link in header

Hey there, I have a question. How would to change the link text from "Homepage" to what ever I desired it to be? In language/en/common.php the instructions tell you to find 'HOME' => 'Home', and after, add 'HOMEPAGE' => 'Homepage', Change Homepage to whatever you like (not the one with the capital ...

Re: How to search for a user in the inactive users list?

That's a good question actually.. A while ago I got an email from an inactive user, telling me that they wanted their account reactivated and they only provided their registration email address. The only way I could find that user was searching directly from the database, since even from the ACP the...

Re: i have a error

If you look at your config.php file, you'll see that "gsmcom_newone" is the dbuser, meaning that it is the username that accesses your phpbb database. And the dbpasswd field is that user's password. This error means that for some reason there is not a user/pass match in your config.php. But since it...

Re: [Beta] Xmas Counter

In header_count.html you can replace

Code: Select all

var theoccasion=new Date(today.getFullYear(), 12, 25)
with

Code: Select all

var theoccasion=new Date((today.getFullYear()+1), 1, 1)
and change the language accordingly in common.php

Re: BigDump 3.0.6 update glitch

So, you say that you initially updated the db to latest, then you restored the old one again?
Re-run database_update.php and you should be fine..

Re: Backing up large database before upgrade to version 3x

Do not delete anything.
As I said the converter will only read the old db. And AFAIK it will not read the search tables. Either way you will have to rebuild them after conversion

Yes, I know that it is under validation.. I was just wondering if you could create a separate background and I'll add it myself (I kinda suck when it comes to image creating.. :oops: )
