Try adding a space between -u username and -d databasename put no space between -ppassword

What version of mysql are you running? I just want to verify we are using the correct command and options.

Are you able to run the B/U manually at the cmd prompt?

Lets manually find the BU script Do you have this file:
C:\mysql\bin\mysqldump

Secondly, make sure you don't have a space in the command:
%mysqldir%\bin\mysqldump
I'm asking this because I would have thought the error you'd get would state C:\mysql\bin\mysqldump is not recognized as a command.

I like the hide it solution better myself. :oops:

Hide the option then use the toolkit to find/update anyone who had the hide online status selected. You're then done once and for all!

Use Starfoxj's Admin toolkit to see who is hidden then just change it manually with the toolkit. This tool has alot of other nice features and is worth installing.

You can also run an DB update (in phpMyAdmin) to update the phpbb_users.user_allow_viewonline to 1 for everyone. (0=hide)

Try to download the complete install ZIP and upload just that file to get you back up and running for now. Then: cp lang_main.php lang_main.php.org FTP lang_main.php to your PC edit the line (629 I believe) (Try downloading notepad++ and using it) save as lang_main.php FTP it back onto your webserver
