just because nothing was changed dosent mean you havent been hacked, changing the post count could have been like a test to see if they could do it, the next change could put you out of a forum. (if you have access to the database (like phpmyadmin) then it wouldnt be bad, just anoying)

IE forums.YOURSITE.com points to www.yoursite.com/FORUMS) Once thats done, goto the configuration panel, general admin -...

To my knowledge i do not think so, since some words can mean anything (say a word that is in english and not in all languages (which there are) the converter would not know what to do with it) You could ask around, maybe someone can lead to you to a link or something.

well it depends on a few factors:

Version of PHP (5.2.0 is the latest)
Version of your webserver
Your webserver
The script
What type of PHP you are using (i use php-cgi)

Make sure everything is up to date (this is a high cause of these errors)

sounds like someone gave you a crap e-mail. Either the e-mail address is fake and dosent work OR the person who had the e-mail address has sense turned it off. There is also the possiblility that the persons e-mail provider has sense shut the e-mail address off (for what ever reason)
