Re: [BETA] Scheduled Posts

It uses PHP's strtotime() function, so most date formats will work.

Re: How do you get a PS3 to recognize a windows vista comput

This forum is for support for the phpBB forum software only. Since your question is in no way related to phpBB, it has no place in this forum. I would suggest going to a PS3 forum or Microsoft Answers to seek support for your inquiry. phpBB.com certainly is not the place to get help with this.

Re: Internet Explorer users have lower IQ says study

Then I suppose I'm speaking more about the Windows XP crowd, which do not have updates forced upon them (at least not to my knowledge) and thus may be prone to use the default IE6. Is there anything Microsoft can do to address this issue?

Re: Internet Explorer users have lower IQ says study

I'm not so upset that people use IE. What makes me more upset is that Microsoft doesn't do more to encourage ignorant users to upgrade their IE versions to the latest workable version for their OS (IE8 for XP, IE9 for Vista and Win7). If the people who are still using IE6 are doing so because they a...

"They've got IE6 users with an IQ of around eighty. That's borderline deficient, marginally able to cope with the adult world."
Yep, that sounds about right. Don't know how Professor Spiegelhalter can find issue with that claim.

Re: Log me on automatically each visit ?

To make the box auto-check itself, add checked="yes" to the input element, like this: <!-- IF S_AUTOLOGIN_ENABLED --> <span class="gensmall"></span> <input type="checkbox" class="radio" name="autologin" checked="yes" /><!-- ENDIF --> To make it show a message on hovering over the checkbox, I assume ...

Re: installing 3.0.8 mods on 3.0.9

It depends on the MOD and if it has any conflicts with changes made in 3.0.9, though it is quite likely that a sizable fraction of MODs developed for 3.0.8 will also work without problems in 3.0.9. The best way to be sure would be to ask the MOD authors directly to see if they have confirmed that it...

Re: xbox leaderboard

Sorry, but this is not the proper place to seek support for a MOD. The Support Forum is for general phpBB software support. For support for the Xbox Leaderboard MOD, please post your topic at the following link: http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/x ... d/support/

Thanks, closing.

and to even begin to imagine competing with facebook, you would need the money and marketing muscle that only something like google could have. Well, that's not necessarily true. When Facebook first began, it had little money to work with and not much marketing muscle, and MySpace was the major net...

Re: The end of facebook coming?

I think that in order for a new social networking site to compete well with Facebook, it will need to approach the idea of social networking from an original and creative perspective. Simply creating a Facebook clone with a few new features is not going to turn the tide, so to speak. I don't see why...

Re: 3.0.9 ANNOUCMENT MOD

If you're looking for support with a specific MOD, you'll need to ask for support in that MOD's support area, not in the open forums. Search for the name of your MOD in the Customisation Database and post your support topic there: http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/search I'm closing this topic now. ...

Re: Mod to hide specific topics from the board view?

Does anyone know if there is a Mod that can hide topics from the menu or board view. But can still be seen by anyone who clicks a link from another topic to view them? This would be a fairly easy MOD to make. In fact, I just wrote out instructions for such a MOD myself below. Tested and working fin...
