Re: permissions question

And just a point, they do not enter the RU group. When they register they go in to BOTH the RU and the NRU groups, but the NRU group has NEVER permissions on certain items that stop them being able to do those things. When they hit x number of posts, they drop out of that group and retain the full ...

I think you still misunderstand. if you change it to no for the NRU group then the YES in the RU group will take affect and they will be able to edit the profile even though they have a no from the NRU group.
That is exactly what i want

Re: permissions question

Once your new users have passed the New User Post Limit they are automatically removed from the Newly Reg'd Users group, and the restrictions are removed. I was saying that you can also remove them from that group manually, if you know they are not spammers. Wont setting it to NO instead of NEVER d...

Re: permissions question

You are best-off manually removing users from the Newly Reg'd Users group once you know and trust them. That will eliminate the "Never" permissions defined by that group. Thanks Buth i think i prefer that users are cable of edit there profile (i have many costom fields that need to be edit regally)

In group forum permissions for that forum and that group set standard access, except set Can post without approval to Never.
And that will make it possible for them to post without approval on the rest of the board ?
