Re: [BETA] Full Syndication Suite 0.9.3b (RSS/ATOM)

Even though I have 'S_SYNDICATION_METHOD' => $data['syndication_method'], installed in the ucp_prefs.php, I currently don't see this option in the user control panel.

Some assistance please?

Making registration/login pages secure pages

Hi There, I was wondering if anyone can assist me in making the login/registration pages https only while the rest of the site be on standard http. Does phpbb3 have an administration configuration for this, or would this have to be done exclusively in the apache config. If apache config, and example...

Re: Notification Email not working for new posts?

What was your result.

I just created 3 different usernames, pointing them to 3 different email addresses. For some reason, creating a new topic never sends out an email. As soon as the topic is replied to, the emails are sent. There has to be something wrong to the setup that I have.

Re: Notification Email not working for new posts?

I take it you subscribed to the forum? Double check that... I’ll test it if I get a minute. Yep, I'm subscribed, but I'm not getting informed about New topics that are posted. Only when someone replies to the new topic am I getting informed, or replies to any topic for that matter. It seems like it...

Notification Email not working for new posts?

Hey Guys,

Can someone test this for me? I'm finding that with Beta5 and even the CVS version has a problem that emails are not given when new topics are created, but only when replies are made. Seems to be a bug to me.

Forum post notification email

Hi There,

I was wondering if there is any way you actually put the content of the postings the the email message itself? Or will this have to be a mod when 3.0 becomes full release?

Allow anonymous posting and block forum spam

What are the chances of encorporating this idea in blocking forum spam but allow anonymous access?

Probably be easy to rewrite bots to work around this anyways I assume.

Prune file attachments

Is there a way in phpBB3 to prune only file attachments that have been posted in x days? It would be a nice feature to have incase the quota has been hit.

Ok, so far I have found out if you copy and paste for the first time, the ™ will stick. But if you go back, edit the forum and then save changes, it changes to â„¢.

I'm going to keep testing and then report a bug later.

I'm actually talking about the forums names itself, ie category, links, forums.

Can someone verify this problem for me?

I'm trying to use html codes in the forum names. For example, on phpBB 2.0.21 I can use the ™ trademark symbol. But when I use it on phpBB 3 beta 2, it comes out as â„¢ in the forum index, but displays properly as ™ in the ACP forum management.

Can anyone else duplicate this problem?

Just to clairify things, if the bug count for B2 is low, does this means that a RC1 release would be in the immediate horizon, or would there be a B3 to test out the fixes first? I'm hoping to see an RC1 land around October/November if that's the case. I know you have said "it'll be released when it...

Automated backups of phpbb

Hey there,

I was wondering if there is a good way to automate a backup of the phpbb database? Right now, I'm using mysqldump, but I do not know if this is a safe way of handling this.
