can anyone make sensible solutions to dealing with referer spam.

rewriteengine i think does not provide good enough protection and wonder if mod_rewrite or even mod_security should be used. I heard of iptables. Anyone got a view

security issues

does anyone know how secure this system is.

I have had loads of the referer spam and reconed that there were illegal hidden scripts working on my server.

Anyone know if this is feasible and how susceptable phpbb may be to allowing within its directories similar activity ?
