Re: New members can't register

Update

The same problem also occurs when an existing member changes their password and then tries to log in with the new password.

Any ideas?

Re: New members can't register

Thanks

I have tried that and the problem still exists. In fact when I tried to reply to a post I got the same http 500 error in Prosilver, but not in the Jblue style.

Also, it now seems that existing members are having the same problem if they try and log in after updating their profile.

Re: New members can't register

Thanks for the reply. I had already asked my hosting service about the errors and they have said there is no problem at their end. The only thing they found was that for some reason my site was being hosted with PHP4 whilst the board is using PHP5. They have now changed my hosting to PHP5, but that ...

Re: Registered Users Can't Edit/Delete Own Posts

Thanks for the updated code, I'll change it as soon as I can and check if that solves the firefox problem. As I have said earlier I don't have a great deal of knowledge about this and I am dependant on the accuracy of the help and information I'm given. It would seem that the information I was given...

Re: Registered Users Can't Edit/Delete Own Posts

OK so I need to close them using </B> and </font> is that correct?
Where would I need to put them so I don't cause any problems?

Re: Registered Users Can't Edit/Delete Own Posts

No, Sorry I don't know what that is. Where did you find it?

Is there a SIMPLE fix for the Firefox problem? I have very little knowledge, but can usually follow simple detailed instructions.

Re: Registered Users Can't Edit/Delete Own Posts

I think I have found the problem and it is NOT with my forum! I have checked with other members and they don't have a problem (despite me thinking they did, due to the way I was "testing" their permissions. When I checked with julianclaire, the member who reported the problem, they mentioned that th...

Re: Registered Users Can't Edit/Delete Own Posts

The user who reported the problem is "julianclaire" and their post is this one http://www.havenownersforum.co.uk/forum2008/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=1064 However I have tried other members permissions and checked their posts and the problem is the same, despite having permission to edit/delete their own ...

This is an admin account, you will need to "test a users permissions" to their screens.
