Re: Problem deleting inactive users after upgrade to 3.2.2

 Thank you so much. Everything seems to be back to normal now. And next time I will have a much better idea of what to do.

Re: Problem deleting inactive users after upgrade to 3.2.2

These are the 13 lines: # Table: phpbb_privmsgs_folder DROP TABLE IF EXISTS phpbb_privmsgs_folder; CREATE TABLE `phpbb_privmsgs_folder` ( `folder_id` mediumint(8) unsigned NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `user_id` int(10) unsigned NOT NULL DEFAULT '0', `folder_name` varchar(255) COLLATE utf8_bin NOT NULL D...

Re: Problem deleting inactive users after upgrade to 3.2.2

The current database definitely doesn't have the privmsgs_folder table. It goes straight from privmsgs to privmsgs_rules. I have copied the relevant part of the previous database backup into a new file - 13 lines starting with # Table: phpbb_privmsgs_folder and finishing with a line that starts INSE...

Re: Problem deleting inactive users after upgrade to 3.2.2

The database backup file is 32.9 MB. I uploaded the full package, replaced the images, files and store directories and the config.php file, then went to forums/install and followed the instructions for the database upgrade. I had a few problems initially and restored the database backup that I had m...

Re: Problem deleting inactive users after upgrade to 3.2.2

I have just discovered that a similar error message is being given when users try to access their PMs. General Error SQL ERROR [ mysqli ] Table 'forums_archive.phpbb_privmsgs_folder' doesn't exist [1146] I guess something has gone wrong with the database update, but I don't know any SQL, so I don't ...

Re: New GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and phpBB

Yes, the ICO are very good at doing that. No simple answers, just the suggestion that you go and read their documents - the main documentation for the GDPR is 153 pages, and there are many links to other documents in it. The GDPR itself is 68 pages long. Oh, and they have updated their documentation...

Re: New GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and phpBB

It might be a good idea to add something to the registration agreement that says that an account may only be held and used by one person. (Assuming there isn't already something there that covers it.) I'm not sure what the situation would be if an account breached the terms and conditions of the for...

Re: Forum Runner

I am wondering whether her main problem is that her iPad is using the desktop version, whereas she would find it easier if it was using the mobile version. I don't have access to an iPad, so I'm not sure whether that is the case. I am not sure what this means. There is only one version of phpBB. If...

Re: Forum Runner

Thank you - I think that may be just what she needs, although probably with a greater increase to the font size. Would it be possible to tweak your extension to make the font a lot larger?

I'm waiting to hear back from her about precisely what she needs me to do.

Re: Forum Runner

Yes, but they zoom in on everything, so if you are enlarging things a lot you are going to end up with only part of the page on the screen. As far as I can tell, she wants to have the text enlarged without everything else getting bigger. I am wondering whether her main problem is that her iPad is us...

Re: Forum Runner

Thank you - that was my gut reaction. If it isn't available for anything beyond phpbb 3.0.x it isn't a possibility anyway. I suspect that what she really needs is to be able to view the forum with an enlarged font size, but nothing else enlarged. She says that if she zooms in with her fingers she ca...

Forum Runner

A new member has asked me to install Forum Runner because she is having problems accessing the forums on her iPad - this is connected with her being partially sighted, and, I think, having problems magnifying the site in a way that allows her to navigate it easily. Is this a good idea? Will it provi...
