Re: [RC] Prime Post Revisions - View all edits to posts

I'm afraid I don't know how to add debug code - or what to do with the result if I do. Is it straightforward enough for you to talk me through it?

I've uninstalled and re-installed and am still getting the same error.

Re: ACP Problem

Thanks. Replacing the file hasn't made any difference though. Back to the drawing board. :(

ACP Problem

On the General Tab in my ACP I can access everything except 'Avatar Settings', which gives me the message: The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.mysite.com/forums/adm/index.php?sid=ba8c57e736e50024b50de6be4c307382&i=board&mode=avatar. It may be down for maintenance or ...

Re: [RC] Prime Post Revisions - View all edits to posts

:( Do you have any suggestions? Is this likely to be caused by another mod? It is a fresh installation, unused, new database, but with 12 mods including this one, and a customised style (my own). I tried deleting the table from the database and re-running the database update file, but the result is ...

Re: [RC] Prime Post Revisions - View all edits to posts

Hi Just installed this on a shiny new installation (I've had it on three other boards, never any problems). It appears to be working, but when I click to see the post history I get a page with all the usual stuff - the 'Viewing Post History' box etc - but the posts themselves are missing. At the top...

Re: How to restrict downloading of files to members only.

You could put the links in a forum that's only accessible to members. You can always tell non-members that this forum is available, but only if they register, and give a list of what's in there in a public forum.

Problem Deleting Attachments

When I upload an attachment to a post and then try to delete the attachment I get a blank page in Firefox, and in Chrome I get the message "The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.mysite.co.uk/forums/posting.php?mode=reply&f=8&sid=90f21d93c575dfb77f4c5ca3d884a096&am...

Re: Attempted hack, need CHMod advice urgently

Brilliant - thank you. There was nothing wrong with the permissions I'm glad to say, other than in one image folder that wasn't connected with the forum. Is it likely to be our hosts fault that the hackers were able to get in, or is it possible that we have done something? As they've only written to...

Attempted hack, need CHMod advice urgently

It seems that someone has tried to hack my site by adding a .htaccess file to every folder with public write permissions, trying to redirect to a file containing (I think) a trojan. I am going through removing the rogue files, but I would really appreciate some advice on which folders require a 777 ...

Re: Deleted topics remain in forum list

All sorted.

I found a stray bit of code that had been left behind in includes/functions_admin.php when I was uninstalling a mod (autogroups), and removing it has solved the problem.

Thanks for your time! :D

Deleted topics remain in forum list

When a member on my board creates a new topic, and then deletes it, the topic remains in the forum list until a moderator/admin deletes it completely. If you click on the topic you get the message 'the requested topic does not exist'. I suspect there is a simple reason for this, but I can't figure i...

Re: Custom BBCodes

It makes things a lot easier for non-technical members as it is though - and for me, not having to try and explain which bit of the Youtube url they have to extract!
