Can someone just confirm for me that when you ban an IP address, you are not preventing users with that address from viewing the public parts of your forum, but just banning registrations from that address? I've done that - that's how I removed the ability to send and read PMs, but there is no permission that stops other people from sending PMs to a user, and when they do the notification is sent out and the message in the header appears.

I wasn't talking about installing the mod through the ACP, but sometimes mods need to be activated the way I described.

It's a long time since I installed this mod, but you may have to add it through the 'System' tab in the ACP (and then 'module management' and 'Administrative Control Panel') once you've finished installing it.
