Deleted topics remain in forum list

When a member on my board creates a new topic, and then deletes it, the topic remains in the forum list until a moderator/admin deletes it completely. If you click on the topic you get the message 'the requested topic does not exist'. I suspect there is a simple reason for this, but I can't figure i...

Re: Custom BBCodes

It makes things a lot easier for non-technical members as it is though - and for me, not having to try and explain which bit of the Youtube url they have to extract!

Re: Custom BBCodes

I have tried the youtube codes and all I see in the post are the links i posted as opposed to the video :( My Youtube code (which works!) is: BBCode usage: [youtube]{TEXT}[/youtube] HTML replacement: <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http...

Re: [RC] Prime Post Revisions - View all edits to posts

Primehalo, you're wonderful! Somehow ( ), instead of adding that line after the bit I was finding, I managed to put it in the middle, so while ($row = $db->sql_fetchrow($result)) was appearing after $prime_post_revisions->merge_revision_info($post_list, $result, $row); instead of before it. P...

Re: [RC] Prime Post Revisions - View all edits to posts

I've just installed this on a 3.0.6 board, and the 'view post history' link is appearing on edited posts, but when I click on it I get the error message: [phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/prime_post_revisions.php on line 438: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an arra...

Re: Info about IP banning

Thanks. However, I've just tested the IP ban on my test board. The friend whose IP address was banned was refused sight of all pages of the forum before she logged in, but was able to log in, and could then see everything (I hadn't banned her username at that point). Does this mean I have something ...

Info about IP banning

Can someone just confirm for me that when you ban an IP address, you are not preventing users with that address from viewing the public parts of your forum, but just banning registrations from that address? I know that IP banning is flawed and clumsy, but is there anything else you can do to stop a ...

Re: User Blog Mod

Is there a way that I can close one specific blog to comments?

The member whose blog it is has been banned, and we don't want to actually delete their blog, just prevent anyone from adding further comments.

Re: No PM Group issue

The trouble is that people tend to play with their settings, and even if I was to set that permission to no, no doubt some of the No PM group would change it back and then get stroppy about not being able to access messages that they can see have been sent to them. I have the Restrict Functions Mod ...

Re: No PM Group issue

I've done that - that's how I removed the ability to send and read PMs, but there is no permission that stops other people from sending PMs to a user, and when they do the notification is sent out and the message in the header appears.

No PM Group issue

I have set up a group of users who can't use the PM system, either to send or receive PMs. However, as PMs can still be sent to them, they still receive notifications and get the message in the header saying that they have new messages. Is there either a way to prevent messages from being sent to th...

I wasn't talking about installing the mod through the ACP, but sometimes mods need to be activated the way I described.

Re: ACP Add User MOD

It's a long time since I installed this mod, but you may have to add it through the 'System' tab in the ACP (and then 'module management' and 'Administrative Control Panel') once you've finished installing it.
