Re: [RC] Template Events Locations (for developers)

Why would that be a reason not to add it to packagist? I am not asking you to add it to your own phpBB. Besides, it is not necessary to change the phpBB composer.json to install extensions to it and I don't intend to do so. You can also create a separate composer.json, which, if it depends on the co...

Re: [CDB] Customize first post edit permissions

Thank you.

The travis check has failed due to coding convention errors, but that is not related to your pull request. It seems I have missed this error earlier.

I will include your translation in the next version.

Installing phpBB and extensions using composer

Hi everyone, I have been experimenting with composer to setup my complete development environment for extension development. So far, I have gotten it to install phpbb and some extensions that exist on packagist to a customizable subfolder. It is also possible to add a git repository to the dependenc...

Re: [RC] Template Events Locations (for developers)

Nice extension. May I suggest to add a packagist entry? This will ease installation of the extension for development purposes. It is really easy to do - you basically only need to give it the github link and your almost done. One can then simply add "marttiphpbb/templateevents": "dev-master" in the ...

Re: [RC] Customize first post edit permissions

You should be able to check yourself - you only have to check with your posts instead of his. You should receive exactly the same permissions as he does except for your own posts. So if you permit the user to edit the first post but deny editing replies, after you took over his permissions, the same...

Re: [RC] Customize first post edit permissions

I am afraid you are. The tool to test permissions only gives you another users permissions, not his user ID. If you post a new topic, it will be yours, not his. If he cannot edit your posts, you won't be allowed to edit his. So his posts are irrelevant - you have to check edit permissions on your ow...

Re: Help with Travis build

Hm. To be honest, I don't know why this happens. composer.json seems fine to me. Maybe it fails to copy the extension to the correct location? But that is what the line

Code: Select all

 - travis/prepare-extension.sh $EXTNAME $PHPBB_BRANCH
is for. Maybe try to run epv locally to see what it does?

Re: Help with Travis build

php 5.3.3 cannot run symfony 2.7.x, but for some reason it tries to install some components of that. This is why the first error occurrs. I am not sure what exactly is causing this, but in the lock file there is a requirement: "name": "symfony/config", "version": "v2.7.1", This pinns symfony to an i...

Re: [DEV] gn36 - Hookup

You could copy the contents of the styles/prosilver within the extension folder to styles/subway to see if it works then (might need to delete cache or disable/reenable the extension afterwards). I do not know the "subway" style. If the "subway" style is subsilver2 based, it could be possible to cop...

Re: [DEV] gn36 - Hookup

Thanks! This problem should be fixed now. But it is an interesting question at hand: What should happen to hookups if two topics are merged? Right now it seems the delete hook is called and this triggers deletion of the hookup of the topic which is merged into the other topic. Should I also "merge" ...

Re: [DEV] gn36 - Hookup

Most of the issues you found should now be fixed. Missing are Separate Hookup options in posting.php - I still need to find the best event to add these options to. The one I found only adds options to the top of that particular tab, which is not the best location. Especially when I add more options ...

Re: [DEV] gn36 - Hookup

Yes, I can see that this may cause issues. It should be easy to rename this, I'll fix that in the next few days or so. Maybe the original location of the file was not in a language folder, which made this differenciation necessary. Right now it is redundant anyways. Regarding your new issues: 1.) I ...

Re: [DEV] gn36 - Hookup

Thanks! What do you mean by "changing the 'en' to my language"? Did you use the english version for testing but the calendar javascript did not work? Or did you copy the english language files to your language folder for testing and the javascript file was wrong because it needed a different name?

Re: Upgrading to 3.1.4 from 3.0.14 -mods/extensions required

Are you talking about the hookup extension preventing new posts or something like that? Or is that a different extension you are talking about?

As I said, I would currently not test it on a live forum. But if you are testing your setup locally just give it a try.
