Re: Use attachments of other users

I never understood making images private while leaving the text around it public. That is a configuration that would make me think at least twice before joining that board. Of what use are users that register only to see the attachments and are never seen again otherwise? Anyways, permissions would ...

Re: Order in modes in UCP Profile

I don't think it is such a big deal to get this done, even though I agree that it usually should not be a big deal to simply leave it as-is. With the method from the acp module, you can easily move your module up and down in the list, the method will take care of updating the ids. So essentially the...

Re: Use attachments of other users

So you basically want that when you hit the quote button, the image attachments in the post are automatically converted to so you see the same picture in both the original post and the quote?

Re: How to show - Interval between new posts

Well, you have to query the database to get the users last post time (max post timestamp from posts table, where poster_id matches the user) and calculate the timestamp, at what time the user can post again. Then you can calculate the interval from the difference to the current time.

Ok I admit, I should have simply linked your other topic to make my comment more helpful for search users. This way, they only know there is another topic with an answer posted by the same user they can search for. So everyone searching for the answer, it is here: https://www.phpbb.com/community/vie...

Re: Multiple ACP functions causing Twig errors after upgrade

Check the write permissions of the cache folder. The folder should be globally writeable or at the very least writeable by the webserver. The error message states that it cannot create some cache file, so there is probably something wrong with the permissions.

Re: mode in the module in the ucp

The Op I guess is talking about to how to place his own newly created UCP mode beetwen this two as per my image This is precisely what I answered. You will have to create it in the usual way and then you can use a custom function to move it where you want it. The information how to move it is in th...

Re: [Fixed] SQL Error - 'Duplicate entry 'X' for key 'PRIMARY' [1062]'

Well, it only works for mysql and it will stop working this way with PHP 7, because the old mysql driver you switched to will not exist anymore. Then you will have to switch back. I think this is some sort of bug that is specific to your environment, because the malfunctioning method with mysqli wor...

Re: SQL Error - 'Duplicate entry 'X' for key 'PRIMARY' [1062]'

It is actually trying to update first and then checks if that succeeded. If not, it runs the insert afterwards. Check out phpbb/profilefields/manager.php line 243. So it seems that $this->db->sql_affectedrows() does not provide the correct result on your board. You may want to try switching the db e...

Re: mode in the module in the ucp

Have a look at includes/acp/acp_modules.php . In there, you will find the method "move_module_by", that should explain to you, how the sorting works. You may be able to use this directly, but depending on how many modules are installed by other extensions to the same tab, you may have to determine t...

Re: Charging data on migration

If you need to prevent a timeout, you could use a custom function that inserts a few things and then returns an index where it stopped. It will be called again automatically with the given index as a parameter and can continue inserting from that index. See Multi-Step Processes.

Re: How to use phpBB 3.1.x password hashing?

Validation can also be done with the manager: $passwords_manager->check($pw, $hash) . Default on 3.0 is salted_md5 and at least on my local installation of 3.1 bcrypt (with 2y). You can see the algorithm of each password by looking at the prefix in the users table. $H$ is salted_md5, $2y$ is bcrypt....

Re: PHP Email Confirmation?

If you haven't done so, enable debug mode (look into config.php). request_var still works. But I am not surprised to see no output, your code doesn't generate any, so that could also mean it works and your email settings in the board are wrong. You should generate some debug outputs at critical poin...
