Re: defining template variables...

You can just define them again in your extension, so they'll be simply overwritten.

Has anything changed in 3.2 that I'm missing here?
Yes. Absolutely different text parser which doesn't use bbcode id/bitfield: https://github.com/s9e/TextFormatter

It saves the data just fine but doesn't save any BBCode with the data.
Why do you think that?

Re: How to access $_GET ?

You need to inject the @request service dependency into the listener, and then just use

Code: Select all

$search_id		= $this->request->variable('search_id', '');
Stuff like enable_super_globals is senseless here.

Ouch, just checked it again and it might be that I was using this mod:
I don't think I ever implemented convertion from the MOD you pointed to. I could look into the possibility of such a convertion if someone provides me with that MIOD source code (installation instruction).

Re: [DEV] Thanks for posts

Creating an empty table without any data in it makes no sense. You can try importing the full table (structure+data) from the old DB.

What version of the MOD did you have?

Re: [DEV] Thanks for posts

You can try keepeing the database table at place. It should be converted on the extension installation.
But you have to remove the MOD ACP module for 3.0.x before converting the board to 3.2.

Re: Function to dynamically decrement the cache time

Still don't get about dynamic cache ttl. When you execute a query with the cache ttl set, it writes the expiry time point down to the cache file (not the time span), which is already time()+ttl. So, if you then do the revesed operation, meaning ttl = end_of_month - time(), the cache expiry date is g...

Re: Override template viewtopic_body.html

Well, one of the options is overriding the style var value using $request->overwrite() method in core.user_setup event listener for example.

Re: Function to dynamically decrement the cache time

Probably I didn't get it right, but for me it looks like calculating the time interval between the SQL query execution time (which is current time) and the end of the month (in seconds), and then setting that interval as sql query result ttl_cache (which is a parameter of the sql_query() function.

Re: Override template viewtopic_body.html

I never tested that, but I'd try checking the URL parameter and then reassigning the template body via $template->set_filenames call within the (for example) core.page_footer event listener.

Re: [Solved] Add custom variable to all outgoing email

Well, that's also an invasion to the core files which is not allowed in extensions system, but whatever.
