It is all in the 56. Now, if you have a width that changes, you will want to add nother check for a "width3" but most people don't have that (but I can't tell if you do, your computer isn't sending me the image)

This mod already exists at phpbbhacks. It uses css to create scrollbars for those lines of characters with no spaces. It also checks the screen resolution and has different css for each resolution. This MOD does not exist over there (in full). True, there exists code that uses CSS just as my code d...

I hate it when I forget to add instructions :( Ok, this works great for a vanilla install, but there is one thing you need to do now. In overall_header.tpl, simple_header.tpl, and subSilver.css (or perhaps not the first two) look for the following: 56 + "px" Ok, play with that 56 and increase the va...

Ok, I came up with a solution that I personally like, I had to do some fairly ugly things to get IE to play nice, but the code is there (and I learned some good stuff).

[BETA] Wide Post Scroller

Presented of the problem "What is the best way to deal with posts that are too wide for the screen?" I came up with this answer. Using CSS, this MOD will cause a scroll bar to appear at the bottom of the post instead of scrolling the entire page. In more simple terms, this will keep someone from pos...

It would be best to ask this in the thread where you found the MOD, as this is more specific.

Have a look in the database for "sub-templates" (or search for it) I believe you could use this for what you want to do, unless you just really want to code the admin interface.

There is an extremely clean solution for good browsers (as in, not IE) and I am trying to figure out if it is possible to make this good solution a bit dirty and have it work with IE. Previously, people have made every table row be a different table, but I don't like this at all. I am working on two...

There are no bugs now, and there has never been a bug in the released version of this code (this does not count my Beta version long ago). All problems people had before were due to other issues, like not being able to run the SQL or pasting code in the wrong section. A "plain vanilla" board would b...

There isn't really an extremely clean way to do this, but the following should work (didn't really test it): #----[ OPEN ]---- includes/page_header.php #----[ FIND ]---- // // Login box? #----[ BEFORE, ADD ]---- if (empty($gen_simple_header) && $userdata['session_logged_in']) { $sql = "SELECT user_i...

Indeed, Fearless is correct, the file does work as is, there were not any bugs with the MOD file. And for those who don't understand how to run the SQL commands, that is why I made this post that includes a link to download an SQL updater script (as in, you just have to run the file). If another fea...

For jumping to unread posts, see the http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/templates/subSilver/images/icon_newest_reply.gif icon. For showing the count, that would be horrible in terms of the number of queries that would need to be performed, I would say, don't even think of doing it (unless you want a slow bo...

Well, it looks like you went to a clean board, and copying all the files over will do this (but if you installed other MODs, it will wipe these as well). It is extremely unwise to post your admin password out in the open like this. It opens up a whole lot you can't track down from someone who may ha...
