Is this thread in the correct forum? I hate bumping topics ... but this post that I made last night had already been pushed back to page 4 already.

Question about using common site Header / Footer

Hey guys, I've been using phpBB for about 3 or 4 years now on my website. I have a common file that I include throughout my entire website, including phpBB that contains functions to display my header and footer. The problem I am having with my site is that my message board is overly slow. I am alwa...

Mod that limits forum access based on # of posts

Hey guys, I'm looking for a phpBB mod that restricts access to a certain forum based on the number of posts a user has made as well as the length of time the user has been a member. Ideally, I'd like there to be post limit and date limit fields in the phpBB admin when you edit a specific forum's opt...

Is phpBB free to companies as well?

The company I work for recently purchased vBulletin or one of the boards that "competes" with phpBB. For some reason they think if they spend money on a message board that they'll get a better product. I think we all know that phpBB kicks some major ass and is equally as good if not better...

I'm not sure what dbms means. Database management system? Using phpBB's admin control panel >> Backup Database In Backup Options, I select full backup and that I do not want to GZip compress. In the previous version of phpBB, the board wouldn't download anything with the compression. I tried backing...

phpbb_users won't backup from admin CP

Hello! I just upgraded to the latest version on PHPBB 2 on Friday. I was hoping that the admin CP database backup feature would be fixed, but it's not. Several of the phpBB tables from the database aren't backed up, one of which is the phpbb_users table that includes all user information. Even when ...

It probably has something to do with the " nowrap=nowrap" line of code found in a lot of the TD HTML tags. I have removed the nowraps in some places and it seems to work fine. I have had to deal with this issue as well because my site is only 750 pixels wide.
