Re: phpbb3 takes a lot of loading time

Here is a note I sent to my host just now. Wonder if you could help me. I just loaded phpBB3 for my community (http://www.ne-core.com/phpBB3/index.php) and I noticed there is a huge loading difference between two of the templates (prosilver takes longer but looks nicer, subsilver is blech and loads ...

Re: [BETA]Ajax Shoutbox

paul -> I did search for the error and found nothing - I searched again on page_string and found a post far down on the list. Sorry about that. I'm glad it's fixed!! Any idea when the next version will be released? edit: okay I understand it'll be done when it's done. And I know I'm not supposed to ...

Re: [BETA]Ajax Shoutbox

I just installed the shoutbox yesterday - awesome mod.

Today I'm getting:
There has been a JavaScript error. Error: 'page_string' is undefined
The pagination for the shoutbox seems to be broken. Was working yesterday.

Re: Definitive Style Guide?

That was plan B...plan A was to find out if some intelligent soul had already organized the information for eager learners like myself. :)

Thanks anyway!

Definitive Style Guide?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a style guide - specifically in the CSS structure. I started piddling around with a theme and see there's multiple CSS files.

I searched here and found the template changes, which is awesome. I don't see anything that describes what CSS controls what.

Thanks!

I was so maddeningly close for hours...I even DID count user_ids at one point but succeeded only in confusing myself.

Thank you!!

Could you use a COUNT()? Something like:

Code: Select all

$sql   = 'SELECT COUNT(left) AS left_count
 FROM table WHERE left = 1';
$result   = $db->sql_query ( $sql );
$row = $db->sql_fetchrow( $result );
print 'Number of left: ' . $row['left_count'];

phpbb and Ajax

hi all, I am trying to use ajax tabs to run an XBOX 360 area I'm building for my clan. 360.php -> houses ajax tabs and is "frame" of area gameinv.php -> trying to call this with ajax to load inside 360. I had written gameinv.php as a non-ajax area, and now I'm trying to integrate it. I rem...

Version Checker

Hey guys - first tour through the beta and I didn't see a version checker added to ensure I have the latest beta. Is this right in front of me and I'm not seeing it?! I searched the forum and didn't see this already addressed.

thanks!

Wow, I love it, it's clean and organized nicely. I'm excited for the RC one day...and need to check out the new coding systems to make my mods work. Great job, boys...definitely worth the wait over the past few years!

Insert New Post

I know netclectic had a function for inserting a new post - it hasn't been updated in a while. Which brings me here... I am building a custom control panel for music reviewers to automate the assigning/submission of a team. I am now to the point where I want to put a WYSIWYG editor (ideal) or a stan...
