There is a show and hide guests link.
Check your load settings in the ACP.

I find no issues with your cookies. Are yoy allowing cookies to be set in your browser?

You need to read and follow directions. There was nothing wrong or unusual with the auto update (I looked)
If you followed the instructions correctly for the file replacement you should be up and running. I have no way to tell about your server issues, but your board seems to be OK.

You drag and drop in Filezilla just like your desktop file manager.
The same way you uploaded the files to install your board.

Your best option: Download the full version from here http://www.phpbb.com/downloads/olympus.php?from=submenu Unzip to your desktop. From the downloaded files/folders delete the config.php file and the files & images folders. Using a good FTP client like FileZilla upload the remaining files/folders ...
