Yeah that looks great! phpBB definately is in dire need of docs for developers (already have plenty of setup docs). I'm a tech writer and a programmer so I'm always Mr. Critical when it comes to dev/programming docs (APIs, variables, etc). Good docs help out developers and bad docs kill development ...

Well next time I'll do the db change logging like you suggest. I guess it is going to be a pain in the arse to look through each mod install file to see the db changes. Oh well.

Well even though I know the developers are hard at work on 2.2, I just don't see it coming out this year. When it does come out I'll probably wait for 2.2.x so bugs and/or security issues are "fleshed out" some.

I'm worried about differences between the database from 2.04 and 2.05. Also database changes that I might keep or remove from mods (depending on which ones I keep) and how that would effect the db info that I back up. Then I need to import the data into the new setup without breaking everything. It ...

how do you all redesign your phpbb sites?

I've been wanting to redesign my phpbb board and my website for a while but I'm not sure how to go about it. I'm on 2.04 with about 40 or so mods installed. I currently have around 80 users and 1500 posts (I prune users and posts with great prejudice! ). I want to start over (everything got a...

How about an idea like this: Have a check box on the user profile page (and the register page) that asks if the user observes DST. If that checkbox is checked then they must enter the dates from which it starts and ends. Then phpBB would just look at those users settings to determine if it should ad...

account deactivation email

This would be nice. All it needs to do is send an email from the board address saying that the user's account has been deactivated. If no one wants to do it then maybe you could point out where I need to look at.

That looks like it is for new user accounts only, according to the subject line.

account deactivation email?

I was wondering when I deactivate someone's account through the ACP, does the user get an email to tell them that their account has been deactivated?

Is there some way I could have at least the admin email in the TO field so it doesn't get spam busted?

difference between pm notices and mass emailing?

I noticed something strange with my forums. When I get a private message notice from my forums, it goes to my inbox. When I send a mass email it goes to my junk mail folder. Is the email sent differently for a pm notice and a mass email? Seems strange. BTW I use hotmail.

I finally figured it out! I have the log actions mod installed which has another submit post and prepare post so I had to put new_category in those too! Now it works!
