Re: Mutual Friends Mod

Already have the feature completed internally on my own forum. I'll port it out to MODX later though.

Re: DBAL Multi Query?

Specifically, I have this for accepting friend requests: foreach ($user_id_ary as $zebra_id) { $sql_ary = 'UPDATE ' . ZEBRA_TABLE . ' SET friend = 1, pending = 0 WHERE user_id = ' . (int) $zebra_id . ' AND zebra_id = ' . (int) $user->data['user_id']; $db->sql_query($sql_ary); } I would guess that it...

DBAL Multi Query?

I've seen sql_multi_insert(), but I have not seen a multi_query. I've been trying to update multiple rows, specifically in the zebra table to handle mutual relationships between friends. Am I able to execute multiple queries through the DBAL? If not, does anyone a function to extend it that includes...

Re: In-line Login

Maybe you are referring to {S_LOGIN_REDIRECT} which is added after login code in prosilver template files I noticed it while manually upgrading my style files, but dont know what is it ? That has nothing to do with this MOD's purpose: # Move redirect into a hidden field to avoid issues with mod_sec...

Pruning Logs

Under the Maintenance tab, I can see and "Delete All" or "Delete Marked" logs, but is there a way to prune it from anything older than MM-DD-YYYY? If not, then could I just run some MySQL queries to prune it manually? If I were to do this with MySQL, should I delete anything more than the rows in th...

Re: Styling the first post & author posts

Thanks for the tip, cherokee. I recall seeing this in the past, but I've never had the time to implement it.

Re: Styling the first post & author posts

Thanks for these code snippets - any idea how to get it to apply to one forum and not others? This was actually what I was making this for. I prefer to keep the forum ids and other dynamic data from being hardcoded into the template, so my solution was to make a copy of my current style and reinsta...

Re: Styling the first post & author posts

If you use the <!-- IF postrow.S_FIRST_ROW --> then you can probably customise it quite a bit. You could separate the block into 2 files and do something like: <!-- IF postrow.S_FIRST_ROW --> <!-- INCLUDE viewtopic_first_post_body.html --> <!-- ELSE --> <!-- INCLUDE viewtopic_normal_post_body.html ...

Thanks for the code, bro. It looks really nice in general and makes it feel more like a social networking site.

Re: Need some help on formatting page

Sorry if this is off-topic, but did you make the userbar/profile area on the index page yourself or is it a mod?

Re: Styling the first post & author posts

The obvious CSS solution just struck me, but thanks anyway. Use the :first-child pseudo-selector.

Edit: On second thought, this might cause some cross-compatibility issues as well as the jQuery solution, so I'll just use Cherokee's solution.

How would I specifically style the first post & thread author's posts of a topic? (viewtopic.html)
