Re: Risks of using mods not from this site

Hi Guys Quick correction I have found reference to The Blog Mod on the mods forum but it does not come up on the search function in the mods data base. Still interested to hear about experiences with this mod. Is there any reason it does not find it in search of mods database? Thanks Tha Dark One

Re: [2.0.21] Country Flags MOD

Hi Guys I have installed this mod using easymod (latest version) but it did not run the database update. I have looked at the instructions for executing it manually but am not sure i understand them. Method 1 copy root/install/db_update_en.php to install/db_update_en.php and execute. I am having tro...

Re: Should I delete and re install phpbb2

Hi Kevin

Just checked on easymod mod history in admin cp and there were no amendments to the database i.e. no tables added, no tables altered and no rows added so looks like I will have to cut and paste them manually.

Thanks

Re: Should I delete and re install phpbb2

Hi Kevin Thanks for reply I used easymod to install. At the last stage it shows 3 routes to install, 2nd is use easymod but doesnt let you select one of the 3. Since I got that far in easymod i figured it would do it by default. I guess not. I have had a look at the mod onstructions (txt file downlo...

Nice site

Hi Smackdown

Nice site.

Did phpBB automatically resize itself to fit the frame?

i.e. is it a function of phpBB that makes it fit without needing to scroll across the screen or is it a setting in the frame on your web page?

Thanks

I am trying to do same

Hi Guys

I am trying to do the same so would love to hear how you get on.

If I go this route does it open another window in the browser?

If not can I put a button in the header to take users back to main website?

It probably depends on what you want to do with it. I am a bit of a virgin re setting up bulletin boards but I found installing and setting up phpBB really simple except for one doppy moment on my part, but got great support here on the forum to point out my mistake. That said I am staying with the ...

Its a static website. The website itself not yet published.

It will consist of a number of pages i.e. home page, articles etc and a forum (phpbb2) which will be accessed via buttons on menu bar.

Thanks

Can phpbb2 registraion and login be used for whole site?

Is there a way to utilise the registration and login features on phpbb as a user authorisation for the whole site? I only ask because it woul...

Not sure

Hi karlsemple Thanks for quick response. My host is 1and 1 and on their web site they say they support php3, php4 and php5. When I upload the folder to their server the thumbnail against each of the php files no longer looks like an image file but more like a notepad file. I assumed this was because...
