Moving CSS code to external file?

Going through the source code of a board html file I find this: "NOTE: These CSS definitions are stored within the main page body so that you can use the phpBB2 theme administration centre. When you have finalised your style you could cut the final CSS code and place it in an external file, deleting...

Re: HELP!!!

They aren't affiliated in any way. Phpbb is a free piece of software than anybody can use to set up boards. You download this piece of software here (http://www.phpbb.com). Some companies use this free software to set up boards that you can then use for free. That's what you've been using. Other peo...

Re: HELP!!!

Your free phpbb provider (www.phpbb.net) probably have a problem with their database. Have you tried contacting them?

Re: HELP!!!

Could we have a link to your site? I'm thinking the problem could be that the phpbb files try to look for the database on the newly bought domain instead of it's actual location. But if your new domain just redirects/forwards to the old website, I can't see why it would do that. There are probably s...

Re: HELP!!!

Well, I can only speak for myself, but I'm unclear on what you mean when you say that you've "forwarded" youy phpbb board to the new site. Did you move your forum files to the new site? How did you do that if you haven't got a host yet?

Did you also move your database or just your phpbb files?

Re: Help with error functions.php

You've commented out part of an if statement on line 205, but the rest of the if statement continues on line 207 and hasn't been commented out: // if ( $forum_rows[$j]['cat_id'] == $category_rows[$i]['cat_id'] && $is_auth[$forum_rows[$j]['forum_id']]['auth_view'] ) // {

Search "within topic title" not working?

This isn't a question about my own board, but about this board. Whenever I try to search for something, I always click the "Search within: Topic title", yet most results have the search words within the topic messages and not at all in the title. Is this just a bug?

Re: PLEASE HELP

Your host isn't phpbb.com, it's phpbb88.com. I just went there and tried accessing their support section, but get the "too many connections" error. Kinda stupid of them to have their support page needing to access SQL, since when you want support due to SQL errors, you won't be able to!

Re: [RC1] Registration Auth Code (RAC)

For those of you that want to add the Authorization Code to guest posting, here's how: # #-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------ # posting.php # #-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------ # prepare_post($mode, $post_data, # #-----[ AFTER, ADD ]-------------------------...

Re: [RC1] Registration Auth Code (RAC)

I agree that not allowing guest posting is the best method of prevention, but for my board, for example, which is about a game I've made, players often just have to ask a single question about getting the game to run, and I want them to be able to ask such a question without having to register, if t...

Re: [RC1] Registration Auth Code (RAC)

Is there any way to extend this mod to also ask guests trying to post a message the same question? (I did a search of the boards here and didn't find any "Guest Post Auth Code".)

Re: Click here to delete this user; this cannot be undone

It means that that user has been completely deleted from your database, hence "cannot be undone".
