Re: Auto-linking Reddit References

Oh.

My.

God.

THANK YOU.

Something so simple. Ugh. I knew phpBB cached template things, but I never even considered that configurator rules would be cached as well.

Re: Auto-linking Reddit References

I'm having absolutely zero luck with the s9e configurator thing. I even tried this super simple example, but even it does nothing when posting an entry with "test" in it: $configurator->Preg->replace( '/(test)/', 'pass', 'PASSFAIL' ); This is the full text of my main_listener.php file which was crea...

Re: Auto-linking Reddit References

Regexr is one of my favorite coding sites -- I used it to piece together the Regex that was in use in my original code above. I'm still not getting any success with any code posted so far, and it doesn't matter if I view an old post, new post, edited post, or anything. I've tested each scenario.

Re: Auto-linking Reddit References

If you do it at parsing time, it will allow you to leverage the Preg plugin and reduce the code for your extension to this I used the code as given, and it doesn't change anything in my posts. References like r/murderedywords aren't linked. Is there a reference for what is valid in the regex patter...

Re: Auto-linking Reddit References

OK, I've gotten this far... I have a working extension installed, I've figured out how to modify the text of posts a bit, but now I can't figure out how to actually piece together the code I have. When in use, it simply blanks out every post -- whoops. I mimicked the phpBB code that makes email addr...

Re: Auto-linking Reddit References

I have a BBCode already set up ([r]) for this, but we're wanting it to be automated, which is the behavior on not only Reddit but also Facebook Messenger when simply typing a subreddit name. Automatic linking is far more intuitive, I think.

Auto-linking Reddit References

I've been out of the phpBB game for a long time, and I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around how extensions are built/structured. This feels like it should be a simple thing to accomplish but I'm just not getting it... Anyway, I want to automatically link Reddit references in posts on my board. T...

Re: Releasing a new version without a name or number

Because they deliberately drip-feed the most basic features which could have, and should have been there from the start, and then market them like the best thing since sliced bread. It's so cynical, but they make it seem as though they're your best friend doing you a favour. What sort of basic feat...

Re: Releasing a new version without a name or number

What hasn't been said yet is that the iPad 3 has double the RAM as the iPad 2, in addition to having a newer, faster processor, including quad core graphics. The retina display offers up 50% more pixels than a "full high definition" television. The screen may be small, but at arms' length, the eyes ...

Copying Permissions via phpMyAdmin

I've recently been brought in to help maintain a phpBB installation -- something some of you may recall I've been doing for years. I'm still "new" to phpBB3, though, and the problem comes in that the original user doesn't have access to the admin account anymore. The account she has been using does ...

Re: [RC] Karma MOD

Been quite some time since I've been here at phpBB... Just wanted to pop in and say that this is the most promising reputation MOD I've seen yet; I'm very much looking forward to the "latest and greatest" version just mentioned.

Thanks for developing it.
