Re: [Beta] Evil quick reply 0.1.5

It works fine on RC4 for me.

The file you mentioned is the stylesheet which is used to make the MOD install XML file look pretty when viewed in a browser.

Re: [Beta] Evil quick reply 0.1.5

It works with the latest release; RC2 is outdated.

Re: Graphics at phpBB.com

Incidentally, it may be worth asking Vladstudios for permission to use the images, provided that it is a non-profit site. I shot him an email about using some on my site, and he sent back an approval less than an hour later.

Re: [DEV] Slick Profile

This, unfortunately, is way more than I was looking for. I actually wanted to do a lot of custom fields, however, what I was looking to do was make the ones no one enters invisible, so if you do not have an ICQ number, then it does not show up in your profile, otherwise I would have a bunch of peop...

Re: Preventing SPAM

I don't think spam is considered a matter of security. Doesn't seem to ever have been before, but I suppose things may have changed.

Re: [HELP] Hard work

I have a .sql of a PHPBB XS 2 forum, with user tables, posts, etc. If phpBB XS is a premodded version of phpBB, then you won't find support for it here. If there is to be a converter made from it to phpBB 3, you'll probably have to get it from the phpBB XS folks. They'll know their version of the d...

Re: [Beta] Evil quick reply 0.1.5

You find it, just as it says. And then you find the next bit.

If you don't find the first one, then you'll find the wrong second one (there are two instances of it).

Re: [BETA] Country Flags 0.8.0

I've been using this MOD since RC1 (currently on RC3), and registrations -- with or without the user selecting a flag -- works great.

Yes, you can post using whatever BBCode you wish in the quick reply box. It doesn't do any parsing of posts/BBCode, so there's no way such a thing could affect it.

Wait until RC4. ;)

Re: Who created the new design of PHPBB?

oh ok, so the forum that we are on now (and the style of it) is the same one that I get when I download it and it is GPL? No, the board you are on right now is using a slightly customized version of proSilver. Those customizations, presumably, are not GPL.* However, the style released with phpBB3 i...

Re: Who created the new design of PHPBB?

I thought the topic starter was looking for information on both the downloadable forum & this site. Let me try to clear it up: The phpBB.com website, including images, style, content, and things such as the bug tracker, are "all rights reserved" owned by the phpBB Group. However, those elements of t...

Re: Who created the new design of PHPBB?

Use it for what? As part of the download package, I'm pretty sure it's licensed under the GPL, so you should be able to use it in accordance with the terms of GPL. See the /docs/COPYING file for more info. http://www.phpbb.com/community/docs/COPYING Yes, it is "copyright the phpBB group," which mean...

Gravatar Capability

Request: If a user does not have an avatar selected, a Gravatar is automatically used instead. If no gravatar is available, a default image (or spacer.gif) is used. In functions_display.php, there's this bit of code: if (empty($avatar) || !$avatar_type) { return ''; } Rather than returning nothing i...
