Re: many forums

Why would you need 6,000 forums for? : \ You need to target a specific subject and build your forum around that, sounds like you're trying to make a forum for every last thing you can think of.

Re: Localhost Cookies

Tried that but it's still not working. I've tried my domain name, no domain name, localhost, change the cookie name, the path, everything, I'm just banging my head against a wall. :(

Localhost Cookies

I have my site online but I wanted to redo it so I backed up the files and database and put it in WAMP and it loads and all. But for some reason, I can't get the cookies to work as I can't stay logged in. I've installed a vanilla phpBB on WAMP before and the cookies worked fine but I can't seem to g...

Re: Resetting database defaults

Doesn't running the update_database script just update it, I don't think it deletes MOD tables and stuff but I could be wrong.

But the Support Toolkit can do just what you want:

Re: HTML5 ?

I found this link on Slashdot which shows what can be done with HTML 5 and what not. You need an "advanced" browser to view it, Firefox 3.5 works fine. Also, can give seizures but cool nonetheless.

Re: how to move ANNOUNCEMENTS

When you make a post or edit one, there's options at the bottom (Normal, sticky, announce, global). Announcement or sticky puts it at the top of the forum you posted in, a global announcement will put it at the top in every forum. I think this is what you're asking?

Re: Would it be possible to switch servers?

Do you mean just a new host/server, or changing the domain name? Either way, it's possibly and very easy at that.

Re: no way to order groups (index / who is online)

Although I see your point, I have to say as well it's not a huge thing to me. If I had the functionality by default, then yes I'd probably use it. Is it worth adding to the phpBB package...eh, not so sure. Like previously said, it's just to show who is who and that's it. The order of the groups does...

Re: Welcome PM on First Login

Hi everyone, I believe I'm running an old version of this MOD, because I still have the character limit. I'd like to install the new version (2.2.5). But should I uninstall the old version first? How do I do that without having access to the install.xml file for the old version which tells me what ...

Yes, I believe that's what he meant, under the jumpbox forum. And for that I think you need to correctly set permissions.

Re: Revolution

I'm not really good at Photoshop and was wondering if anyone could edit the images so I can make my forum wide, like maybe to 1000 px or a little more. Or if someone already has the images they can send me. I'd like the body itself to be close to 1000px because I seen on menubg.gif that part of the ...
