Re: [Beta] phpBB3 Portal

Just installed this portal and it works great! Except one thing: the top links don't show a link to the portal page, only "board index". On all other boards it's like this: "Portal -> Board Index". How can i fix this? Big thx! You've not followed the style install instructions in the style folder w...

Re: [BETA] phpBB Garage 2.0

Woohoo, he's alive!

I'm no developer, but as before I'm more than happy to test and report back.

I've been using the latest SVN on a live board since the end of april, so have a reasonable idea about how it's running currently.

No, it was actually correct.

1.2.2 was released on 9th February 2008.

They just dropped the Alpha of 2.0.0 on the sever or wherever by mistake and then corrected.

Re: [Beta] phpBB3 Portal

phpbb3portal.com seems to be down.. again. Is it possible to turn off the left side bar in the portal? I have looked in the acp but can't find this option. Also, it it possible to reposition blocks? Thanks, Carl You can, but not via the ACP. You need to look in the styles/prosilver (or your style)/...

Re: [BETA] SMF 1.1 to phpBB3 Convertor

Have started today on converting another forum I help run to phpbb3. It's currently on YABB 2.2 so am having to convert to SMF first and then convert from SMF to phpbb3. So far it's all gone very well and I have a phpbb3 board up and running with all the data from what I can see. The only thing I've...

No - in the planned MOD you can thank everyone (but just without the excessive load).

Best regards: Mahoney
Great news!

Looking forward to help testing if needed and using this when it's complete.

Re: [DEV] Thank Post Mod 0.0.0

I don't personally see the point of a thanks "first" post at all. Normally the first post of a thread on a help forum is a question, so it's the replies which require thanking. The geofreek mod is exactly what I want, but just without the excessive load. Sorry to be negative as you've been helping l...

Re: [BETA] Thank Post Mod 0.4.0

Thanks for putting in the work on this Mahoney!

It seems like the queery needs to only select the users who have posted in a individual topic, rather than just select everyone at once each time a topic is loaded.

Re: [BETA] phpBB Garage 2.0

I'm almost going to dissagree about using it on a live board. I'm having issues with the database after having been running it live for 2 months or so now. It seems to be creating orphan products when trying to remove duplicate items users have entered, and a few other odd things by the looks of it....

Re: Password Reset not following Board Password Criteria

Thanks for the reply. I had thought the same myself. I only brought it up as I've had 3 users contact me from my forum saying they had tried the forgotten password function but then not been able to log in with the new password. Just wondered if the board was not generating the new password correctl...

Password Reset not following Board Password Criteria

'lo all Just a small one I think. I have the password criteria set at Must be mixed case. When following the forgotton password routine the password sent out to the user does not follow this. It seems to be all uppercase mixed with numbers. Is this correct, or should the password sent out stick to t...

Re: [Beta] AJAX Chat/Shoutbox MOD 2.0.0 Beta 8

Feedback from users. First of all, they love it. Can it be larger (vertically)? Can we get a Chat icon like the FAQ and Search have? Can we get a whisper feature? Have a look here: http://www.tt-arena.co.uk/ I've done my own icon for the chatbox, also I've modified for the larger vertical size. You...

Re: [BETA] Thank Post Mod 0.4.0

Oh my got, this modification has a very bad syntax.... What to hell is this? $sql = 'SELECT * FROM ' . USERS_TABLE; or this $sql = 'SELECT * FROM ' . POSTS_TABLE; I have got forum with 58582 registred users.... And check this: Time : 7.065s | 16 Queries | GZIP : On | Memory Usage: 61.34 MiB | Expla...

Re: [RC1] Full Syndication Suite 1.0.RC1 (RSS/ATOM)

Is there a fix for hiding forums in the list which are not granted access for certain user groups? Currently a standard user has got the hidden admin / mod forum section in the list which they should not see. Also if you then choose to view posts in those sections a standard user can read the posts ...
