bbcode in polls?

Is it possible to use bbcode in a poll, or possible to enable it?

Re: MOD Examples?

Ah, kewl. At least I know where I stand now.

It does seem very odd that some effort to support plugins wasn't made with version 3. But I should be able to get away with putting all my code in a seperate file and then just adding an include statement.

MOD Examples?

I'm looking to write my first MOD (I'm not a PHP Noob) and I seen the list of example at the bottom of this page, http://www.phpbb.com/mods/documentation/index.php, but none of them link anywhere. I assume this because they haven't been written yet. Is there some examples elsewhere I can refer to? A...

Re: Display code on first post only

I think you should be asking this in the template forum, but this is the code you can use: <!-- IF postrow.S_FIRST_ROW --><!-- ENDIF --> Not that this identifies the first row on any page, not the first topic. You might be able to use {PAGE_NUMBER} to determine what page you are on. I've assumed you...

Re: Site not loading - How can I check for the cause?

Deleting the cache fixed the issue. Of course, I still don't know what the problem was. I think I'll need to change hosts.

Re: Site not loading - How can I check for the cause?

Thanks. I logged a support request with them before I posted this topic but it will mot likely take a number of hours (possibly a day) to get a response. I'm taking a backup of all files at the moment and then will attempt to delete the cache. If there are any other ideas I would greatly appreciate ...

Unfortunately my host doesn't give access to the logs.

Is it safe to delete the cache files to see if it makes a difference?

Site not loading - How can I check for the cause?

I'm getting a blank page when I open the forum on my site and I have no idea what would have changed to cause the issue. Even the administration area will not load. I would expect phpBB to display an error message but I'm getting nothing. Are there phpbb log files somewhere? I can't find them. A sta...

Display Active Topics on Homepage

I want to display active topics on the forums front page. Can this be done using just templates or would it require a mod/PHP? I can write a mod, but I would feel foolish if I did it for no reason. I see that a forum can display active topics for sub-forums so I thought there might be a way to trick...

Documentation?

Is there any document where I can familiarise myself with the list all available tags used by a template. Something like:
{L_WHO_IS_ONLINE} = Label - Who is online.
{LOGGED_IN_USER_LIST} = List of users who are online
etc

Re: div, ul, li, dl, dt, dd instead of tables?

So you want the forum listed in the centre of a three column layout? You want to put a DIV tag around the listing of forums. So, index_body.html put <div></div> around <!-- INCLUDE forumlist_body.html -->. Define a class for the div and use CSS to control how it's presented on the page. If none of t...

Re: Frequent table crashes

Thanks for replying. My host is servage.net. It's a linux host, but I can't be more specific about the OS. MySQL is version 5.0.41 I suspect they will also blame phpBB. Unfortunately I don't have any issues with other database (they aren't nearly as complicated) but I'm trying to gather a history of...

Frequent table crashes

I've been running 3.0.RC1 on a live site for almost two weeks an in that time I've had three of the MyISAM tables crash. phpBB displays an error when these crashes occur and the table is need to be accessed. For example phpBB displayed " Incorrect key file for table './inkscapeforum/phpbb_searc...

Re: This Site's Search Feature

I can't find documented confirmation of this, but I don't think you need javascript or a submit button to submit a form. Create a HTML file and put the follow code into it and it'll submit when you press Enter. <form method="get" action="/search/"> <p><input name="q" id...
