Re: Viewforum template file problem

Hi

Thanks, but no joy with that suggestion. It "broke" the intances when the footer was displaying correctly, so I've reverted to the original code.

Thanks anyway

Re: A strange thing happened when opening a topic...

I'm home and I've checked...IE8, that "inferior" browser  gets it right where Firefox gets it wrong.

I hope that a Firefox expert can come along and explain how to fix this.

Re: Viewforum template file problem

I changed the location of the <div> tag at about line 200 but it did not fix the problem. Thanks for the suggestion anyway. :D

Any other ideas what the problem might be?

Re: A strange thing happened when opening a topic...

Thanks for the reply. I wonder if it's a Firefox "thing"? I tested it at home, and I've tested it here at work...the results are the same. IE6 (believe it or not) here at work renders the page with black text (in the same click-through path that causes it to be red in Firefox). I must admit that I'v...

Viewforum template file problem

I have a problem with my viewforum template file. It surrounds the display of the footer with its breadcrumb trail etc etc. A correct rendition of how it should look is here - http://www.brummiesfans.com/main/viewforum.php?f=7 and another one here - http://www.brummiesfans.com/main/viewforum.php?f=1...

A strange thing happened when opening a topic...

Here's a conundrum. When in the portal of my site - http://www.brummiesfans.com/main there is a link, about half way down the page, to view the latest post "Chairmans Chat". Clicking on that link, takes you to the topic. all well and good so far. But you will notice that the text is RED. Going throu...

Logging in from Portal

I have a logging in box in my Portal Page - www.brummiesfans.com/main When I log in using that box, I'm logged in to the site OK, but I get sent to the "Send Password" page. All is well when I log in using the ucp.php page. Does anyone have any idea how to rectify this anomoly? Thanks in advance Mar...

Re: Need to edit something I can't find.

Thanks guys. I think I've cracked my problem.

I've also now got UltraEdit, which has the ability to search across all file in given parameters too.

Need to edit something I can't find.

I'm stuck. Now and then I come across template files that have snippets of code like: </li> </ul> {USER_MENU_EXTRA} <!-- ENDIF --> It seems to mean "insert {USER_MENU_EXTRA} here"...but my problem is WHERE does "USER_MENU_EXTRA" come from so that I can get at it to edit it. It's not another template...

Ajax Chat Mod - request for help.

Is there someone who can help with a little PHP coding please? A while ago, at the start of my migration project, I had the benefit of the assistance of a temp IT contractor who worked where I work. We discussed a modification to the Chat Room on my site, so that it could be updated from the RSS fee...

Re: Major problem since installing Gym Sitemaps MOD

That also suggests you're not up to date because the latest version has a check that it's a real file name in order to prevent it. Yeah, that's true. Mainly because I started with a pre-modded version which had most of what I wanted already installed, and there is no easy upgrade for it due to some...

A-Z Index MOD

Hi Is there such a thing as an A-Z Index MOD or something by another name that adds an A-Z index to a footer that provides links to topics by key words? An example of how the A-Z index works can be seen here - www.birmingham.gov.uk I would have thought that with a bit of modification to the overall ...
