Re: Session_keys table

Ok, do you know if the session_key id is encrypted? Because when I check my cookies, my 'k' value is not the same as the key value in the database.

Moving the files folder.

Is there an easy way to move the files folder from phpbb to somewhere else? If there isn't, what's the hard way?

I have other folders holding files, and I'd like to unify them.

Registration Attempt Counts

Now unless I've totally done something wrong... I've noticed a way to defeat the registration attempt count. Simply refresh the page before it reaches the number and the attempt count is reset. The attempt count is saved to database. But I believe that is only relevant to the confirm_id. The confirm...

Re: Refresh Captcha for GD Image/3D/Simple

You're right on the cache. It was something to do with cache. It's due to my .htaccess file. It's a modified version of HTML5 boilerplates and some stuff for Codeigniter. I figured that it was because of this htaccess command: ExpiresByType image/png "access plus 1 month" The captcha image is png, a...

Re: Refresh Captcha for GD Image/3D/Simple

According to my system tab, I am using 3.08 not RC.

That is a mistake.

Now you have said that it should happen, and when I click the refresh confirmation code, it does refresh the page. (I see a loading indicator on my browser) But it does not change the confirmation code.

Re: Regarding custom profile fields in the ucp_register.php

Oh I see it.

However why does it require resetting? Where does phpbb set incorrect data for $user->profile_fields, so that it requires resetting before calling generate_profile_fields?

Re: A simple way to send mass email as HTML, is it OK ?

You could use a checking if/else to see if the user is an administrator and then set it to text/html else set it to text/plain. Example, this function checks if a certain person is in a certain group which you can set to "administrators": /** * Checks if a user is a member of the given user group. *...

Re: Regarding custom profile fields in the ucp_register.php

The $user->profile_fields is accessed when it is setting up the display when generate_profile_fields is called. Yes, I would also like to know where this is accessed. Furthermore on the same topic, I think I have found some other places where there is non-used code. In includes/functions_profile_fi...

Regarding custom profile fields in the ucp_register.php

In includes/ucp/ucp_register.php, on line 494, there this line of code: $user->profile_fields = array(); What is that doing? Is it just resetting the profile fields for line 497? // Generate profile fields -> Template Block Variable profile_fields $cp->generate_profile_fields('register', $user->get_...

Re: Please explain $auth->login parameters

I suppose the $viewonline option should come from the optionget or something similar? If not, how would you get the option for putting the user in the online list or not?

$admin would only be used for the ACP right?

Please explain $auth->login parameters

The login function contains this:

Code: Select all

function login($username, $password, $autologin = false, $viewonline = 1, $admin = 0)
I understand $username, $password and $autologin. But what does $viewonline and $admin mean?
