Ok, I am upgrading from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1 and I have one question. (remember, I'm still a n00b and don't know php) It looks like phpbb 2.0.3 code is being used in the instructions and it doesn't match the new 2.0.4 code. This is from part 2 of the instructions... # #-----[ FIND ]-----------------------...

There is also a mod for custom headers and footers, easily changeable from the admin cp. I don't think it is an official mod, and I have no idea if it's been updated to work with 2.0.4. Try doing a search. custom_footers_and_headers_1_0_0.txt was the original.

nice

A very good mod, I like it. Worked perfectly the first try. I'd like to say thanks for adding in the bit about changing the colspan. I put it another mod that didn't, so it was nice to see it there.

The topic number is not a link, it is a static number. Having it a hyperlink to the actual topic would be nice too. you can clic on the image near the topic number to see the post  Unless it has been deleted. Then you get the not found message. Is it possible to save a copy of a pre-edited or...

hmm

I still consider myself to be new at this, so keep that in mind. Here's what I did, if I remember everything. I have a working 2.0.3 and a working 2.0.4 using separate databases. You can use the same database if you change the name of one of them. (from phpbb_ to something like forum_) I started wit...

For me it is mysite/forum/admin/index.php

This is a copy of the working forum. After seeing all the upgrade problems, I figured I'd copy the whole thing to a different directory. I also copied the database, changing the config.php to match it. It works fine, except for the admin I can't get into.

same here

I have the same problem. I tried re-uploading the entire admin folder. Chmod'd it to 777. Still didn't work. It says I don't have access to the /admin/index.php file. How can I not have access when it's 777?

Isn't this done through the admin panel by setting the permissions for each forum? No mod needed, just set it to not be viewable by guests and they won't even know it's there.

It seems to work ok on my 2.0.3 I'll have to test it more though to make sure.

some things I noticed

First off, I'm a n00b, so what I'm pointing out may or may not be correct. I installed the mod and it works great, I like it a lot. But here's a few little things I noticed... ## Included Files: photo.gif, photoinprofile.zip (required) The photoinprofile.zip file wasn't included, and the one ...

Starting 2 days ago I have got this same error message. I believe it's a Lycos thing (busy servers?(assuming you are using Lycos)). I hit refresh and it works. Unfortunately the same error keeps popping up, so I have to keep refreshing. Very annoying.
