My opinion on phpbb3...

OMG! It's awesome!!! I like the new features and the new look of prosilver. Great job. There is only one thing about phpbb3 that I really hate. Don't feel bad about this, but I really hate the fact that it hasn't been completed yet!!! It is driving me crazy. When finished, it WILL be the best thing ...

Re: FTP Wont transfer these files:

Well, I do not have any way of buying online stuff. And I do plan on using my board to have a lot of members. Can I not install mods? If I don't download .htaccess?

Re: FTP Wont transfer these files:

In SmartFTP, it just says "Transfer Failed". In ACEftp, it says "File Extension Not Supported".

Like I said, im using ulmb free webhost. I went into their file manager and tried adding the files manually.
It said "not allowed"

I am currently using smartFTP, I was using Aceftp.

I am in the middle of transferring all my files to my server using ftp. I already copied everything. Now I am on the OPEN part. It says:

common.php

I cannot find common.php

What do I do?

Starting Up?

I have downloaded phpbb2, and uploaded it to my host using smartftp. I do not know how to launch it to finish the instalation. It says direct my browser to the folder? I downloaded it using a .zip format, then extracted all the files. I transferred it to a folder called "phpbb" using ftp. Now what?

Re: Help - Requirements and Installation

Okay, so i will have to but them.

What is the difference between making a phpbb forum this way, and makeing a phpbb forum by just creating a phpbb subdomain and password, and my address be something like http://myphpbb.com/subdomainname for example?
