Re: User IP

I wouldn't use that, because phpBB3 already has easier ways to get the current IP. Also the only reason I created this topic was because when I used $user->ip(); I got an error... But it was a missing semi-colon on the line above, but thanks to you all for suggesting ways to get the current IP.

Re: php if/else codes

No offense but the loop is written incorrectly ;) Just check the Wiki on how to write the loop. Anyway: It looks right, but try replacing it with: if ($auth->acl_get('u_extra_stats'))         {             // Firstly, delete guest sessions             $sql = 'DELETE FROM ' . SESSIONS_TABLE . '      ...

User IP

I want to get the current IP not the one in the database...

Code: Select all

$user->ip();
Would that do the trick?

Re: custom profile fields that display images (NOT field name)

That is easy... All you would need to do is make a custom dropdown box in ACP, then make sure that they include part of an image name, like a possible value is 12... And the image name is image_12... Note : This is not exact ;) OPEN : styles / prosilver / template / viewtopic_body . html FIND : <!--...

Re: Two simple questions

1) posting_editor.html
2) On your page you would use request_var then go $template->assign_var, assign the request_var result a var, then you can use it on template page ;)

Re: Custom Page Mod Making Problem

You need to integrate it with phpBB3's structure properly, here it is simply: FILE: something.php FILE: styles/prosilver/template/something_body.html Code: Something.php <?php define('IN_PHPBB', true); $phpbb_root_path = (defined('PHPBB_ROOT_PATH')) ? PHPBB_ROOT_PATH : './phpBB3directory'; $phpEx = ...

PHP Error with Code?

I am currently in the process of writing a MOD. This is the error I get:

Code: Select all

PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function sql_query() on a non-object in G:\website\Points\includes\functions_points.php on line 69
On line 69 is

Code: Select all

$result = $db->sql_query($sql);

Re: Security Feature Installation Questions

Why not use a DELETE SQL function?

Like, but you would have to define YOUR_TABLE in includes/constants.php and define $warning ;)

Code: Select all

if ($warning++ == $user->data['user_warnings'])
{
$sql = "DELETE FROM" . YOUR_TABLE . 'WHERE user_id = ' . $user->data['user_id'];
$db->sql_query($sql);
}
