Re: Moved site from cPanel to Interworx. Users cant login

ok, looks like it was sodium that wasn't installed... Interworx defaults to using crappy "safe" versions of php... switched to the proper repo and it's all working now :)

Thanks for your help!

Re: Moved site from cPanel to Interworx. Users cant login

looks like you may have hit the nail on the head... just need to figure out how to install it on the interworx server now... not quite as user friendly as cpanel! edit... confirmed sodium was not installed on the custom version of php... switched to server version and it worked... now need to find o...

Moved site from cPanel to Interworx. Users cant login

I have just moved my site from a cPanel server using MySQL 8 to an Interworx server using MariaDB 10.2. The site seemed to move ok and I can browse the site but the users can't login (incorrect password, then gives recaptcha challenge) I have pointed the DNS back at the old server for now, so everyo...

Display a forum in the same way as memberlist

I want to be able to display a forum just like the memberlist is displayed, with a clickable letter filter at the top and pagination where the list is too big. I found one extension that does the clickable list but no pagination. Problem is my forum has over 10,000 topics so I can't display them all...

Re: [3.2][RC] Avatar Resize on upload

Maybe an oddity with IOS? Sort of. But as I understand it, it's also an oddity in Android so basically >90% of the phone and tablet users will have this issue. We can't really ignore it than, can we? When I have some more spare time I'll try to fix the rotation in this extension. I'll quote you whe...

Re: [3.2][RC] Avatar Resize on upload

Cool, thanks, it is also rotated when I use most online image resizers, but when I look at the EXIF it says "Orientation : Rotate 90 CW", so you would imagine things would respect that. Maybe an oddity with IOS?

Re: [3.2][RC] Avatar Resize on upload

Supposed to be using ImageMagick, yes:

Zipped it up so there shouldn't be any manipulation

Re: [3.2][RC] Avatar Resize on upload

When I test it using images taken on a phone they appear sideways in the avatar. The same image posted on the forum is the correct orientation.

Re: [3.2][RC] Privacy Policy

Admin Control Panel >> Server Settings >> Path Settings >> Enable URL Rewriting Did you perhaps not read, or check Enable URL Rewriting: When enabled, URLs containing ’app.php’ will be rewritten to remove the filename (i.e. app.php/foo will become /foo). Apache server’s mod_rewrite module is requir...

Re: [3.2][RC] Privacy Policy

This extension doesn't work anymore after upgrading to 3.2.2. The link to the policy in the navbar takes to a 404 page. EDIT: it's a "php.app and url rewrite problem" that manifested itself only after upgrade to 3.2.2... I get exactly the same in 3.2.3. When I have app rewrite turned on I...

Just tested on my 3.2.3 forum (PHP 7.2). Used an iPhone 7 and both landscape and portrait images display as intended.

Nice work

Re: Image orientation in plupload, using EXIF

Lots of fantastic photography is portrait. Sure, plenty of people do it because they are lazy or don’t “get it”, but portrait photography definitely has it’s place.

Re: Image orientation in plupload, using EXIF

As far as I can tell, the issue of thumbnail images being rotated has not been "fixed" yet. I realize that some phpbb members/developers do not see this as a phpbb issue that needs fixin', but again I add my name to the chorus of phpbb board admins that don't care which piece (phpbb code,...
