Re: Open all links in NEW WINDOW

No you don't need to change the background width. Just set the width of the forum to your fixed length.
that should also center the forum. Tho don't hold me to that as I don't have ne reference files to look at I'm saying this all by referencing what I can remember.

Re: need help on styles and colors

To use the style you must first install its 3 parts.. "template", "style", "images", then install the style as a whole. After which you can use the style by either allowing users to change their styles or by setting the style as the forums default style.

Re: Open all links in NEW WINDOW

Well then you need to do as Lumpy suggested and rewrite the overall_header file to match how you want it to look. It not hard but does require some coding knowledge and time. Can you elaborate more on what you mean by aliging properly.. I took a look at the link provided but it seems to me that the ...

Re: need help to change forum name to somethng else...

You can change it if you really want to... but as BRF said .. its simply a label.

To change the label you can go into I believe "forum_body.html".

I can't tell you exactly as I don't have any reference files to look at for the moment.

Re: Open all links in NEW WINDOW

i'm not sure what lumpy robert is talking about here but based on what I saw of your site.. you simply need to resize the forum to fit the space you've alotted for it. ( I don't see why lumpy has such a hard time understanding that ) but ne ways. Irregardless of being in a Iframe you can still force...

Re: Place the style within a box on my website

theres nothing wrong with placing the forum in an Iframe. I've done it serveral times without problems. While yes it would most likely operate more effciently without the Iframe. At the same time it takes alot more effort and time to re-write half the style in order for it to fit the look of your we...

Re: Open all links in NEW WINDOW

You could try changing the "wrapper" div to match the size you want the forum to fill. AKA if the area to fill is 600px wide you then change the wrapper width to 600px If then you still have an issue with size you can try changing the default FONT size using either the button on the forum (the A but...

Re: How do I put the Header from my website onto the forum

If your ACP doesn't have the "Stale Style Componets" option checked you will not see any changes made to hard files.

Re: Fixed width on custom style

The wrapper div is the one thats going to control this portion.

Without seeing any of the code pertaining to it....

In your css files you'll need to change the width of the wrapper div to match the width of your elements.

Re: Footer Image Clashing With Content Background

In both files AFTER: </div> BUT BEFORE: </body> ADD: <div class='MyFooter'> HERE IS YOUR FOOTER </div> Keep in mind that this will make the footer the very bottom element in your page. Meaning that it will no longer reside inside the wrapper div. It has been awhile since I've even looked at this fil...

Re: Footer Image Clashing With Content Background

Ok this is a simple fix.. you need to add your footer after the last DIV in the phpbb forum files.

The file in question is both the "Overall_footer" and "Simple_footer".

Keep in mind that your main background image on the "body" will still show through.

Re: Implementing board

make sure you have the "Stale Style" option checked in your ACP.

This allows phpbb to update style changes from the hard files on the server.
Without checking the aforementioned option the style is pulled directly from the database.
So your changes will not be recognized.

Re: Footer Image Clashing With Content Background

I'm not sure I quite understand what your wanting to do. If you don't want the content background to show through your footer image then the image cannot be transparent. Could you explain further?
